HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 547 04/23/1957 ~Ary ~'~f-I ORDINANCE NO.~~ji AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS, VACATING A PORTION OF A CERTAIN PUBLIC STREET WHEREAS, the Village of Mount Prospect, a municipal corporation duly organized and existing under and by virtue of the laws of the State of Illinois has heretofore acquired a certain public street known as East Evergreen Avenue, which said public street was obtained by dedication in Document No. 188460 filed with the County Recorder, Cook County, Illinois, on September 2, 1874; and WHEREAS, a portion of said public street hereinafter described is no longer necessary to be used as said public street in the opinion of the corporate authorities of the Villag~ of Mount Prospect and the public interest will best be sub served by the vacation thereof of the following described portion of said public street: That part of East Evergreen Avenue lying southerly of and adjoining Lot 11 in Block 11 in Busse and Willets Resubdivision in Mount Prospect, a Resub- division of part of the East t of the Northwest t of Section 12, Township 41 North, Range 11 East of the Third Principal Meridian, described as follows: Beginning at a point on the South line of said Lot 11, 1.0 feet West of the Southeast corner of said Lot; thence South on a line parallel with the Easterly line of said Lot extended a distance of 3 inches; thence West parallel with the North line of said Lot a distance of 1.0 feet; thence North parallel with the Easterly line of said Lot extended to the Southerly line of said Lot; thence North- easterly along the Southerly line of said Lot to the point of beginning. That part of East Evergreen Avenue lying Southerly of and adjoining Lot 10 in Block 11 in Busse and Willets Resubdivision in Mount Prospect, a Resubdi- vision of part of the East t of the Northwest t of Section 12, Township 41 North, Range 11 East of the Third Principal Meridian, described as follows: Be- ginning at a point on the Southerly line of said Lot, 50 feet 5~ inches Southwesterly of the South- east corner of said Lot measured along the South line of said Lot; thence South parallel with the East line of said Lot, 8 inches; thence West parallel with the North line of said Lot, 1 foot; thence North parallel with the East line of said Lot, to the Southerly line of said Lot; thence Southeasterly along the Southerly line of said Lot to the place of beginning. - 2 - NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT: Section 1: That part of the public street known as East Evergreen Avenue, more or less described as follows: That part of East Evergreen Avenue lying southerly of and adjoining Lot II in Block II in Busse and Willets Resubdivision in Mount Prospect, a Resubdi- vision of part of the East ~ of the Northwest t of Section 12, Township 4l North, Range II East of the Third Principal Meridian, described as follows: Be- ginning at a point on the South line of said Lot ll, l.O feet West of the Southeast corner of said Lot; thence South on a line parallel with the Easterly line of said Lot extended a distance of 3 inches; thence West parallel with the North line of said Lot a distance of l.O feet; thence North parallel with the Easterly line of said Lot ex- tended to the Southerly line of said Lot; thence Northeasterly along the Southerly line of said Lot to the point of beginning. That part of East Evergreen Avenue lying Southerly of and adjoining Lot lO in Block II in Busse and Willets Resubdivision in Mount Prospect, a Resubdi- vision of part of the East ~ of the Northwest t of Section 12, Township 41 North, Range II East of the Third Principal Meridian, described as follows: Be- ginning at a point on the Southerly line of said Lot, 50 feet 5~ inches Southwesterly of the South- east corner of said Lot measured along the South line of said Lot; thence South parallel with the East line of said Lot, 8 inches; thence West parallel with the North line of said Lot, 1 foot; thence North parallel with the East line of said Lot, to the Southerly line of said Lot; thence Southeasterly along the Southerly line of said Lot to the place of beginning. having been heretofore acquired by dedication in Document No. 188460 recorded with the County Recorder, Cook County, Illinois, on September 2, l874, be and the same is hereby vacated. Section 2: That all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this Ordinance be and the same are hereby repealed. Section 3: That the Clerk of the Village of Mount Prospect be and he is hereby directed to cause this Ordinance to be recorded with the Recorder of Cook County, Illinois. - 3 - Section 4: That this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage, adoption and due publication as provided by law.
