ORDINANCE NO. tt70
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER VIII OF THE
MOUNT PROSPECT BUILDING CODE OF 1957 AS
AMENDED
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
Section 1: That Chapter VIII, Section 22, shall
be and the same is hereby amended to and shall hereafter
read as follows:
"22. Drain tile shall be placed around the
enclosing walls of any basement, the floor level
of which is more than two feet below the curb
level. The bottom of such tile at its highest
point shall be not less than 6 inches below the
bottom of the basement floor and shall drain in-
to the building drainage system. The drain tile
shall be open jointed porous drain tile not less
than 4 inches in diameter and surrounded on at
least one side and top with 5 inches of crushed
stone or gravel. II
Section 2: That this Ordinance shall be in full
force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
Section 3: That all ordinances or parts of ordi-
nances in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby re-
pealed, reserving, however, to the Village of Mount Prospect
any rights which have accrued to it against any person, firm
or corporation under any ordinance or sections of ordinances
which may be and are hereby repealed.
