ORDINANCE NO. 587
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING rI'Hl-lJ OFFICIAL VILLAGE
OF MOUNT PROSPECT AS AMENDED

WhEREAS, the Village of Mount Prospect has h8reto-
fore adopted an Official Villarye Plan with Map No. 1 included
therein as a part thereof; and
WH.J::.;REAS, the corporate authori ties of the Village
of Mount Prospect have recently retained the services of
Evert Kincaid & Associates for the purpose of submitting to
said corporate authori ties certain recommendations for plan-
ing and for the purpose of adopting a general development
plan for said Village, which said Evert Kincaid & Associates
submitted lmder date of Septemher 5, 1957 a preliminary
report on the "Economic Pactors for Planning" for said Village
of Mount Prospect and which said report contained as a part
thereof (pages 36 through the second paragraph of page 40) a
suggested plan for the development of the Central Busin8ss
District; and
~iEREAS, the aforesaid recommendations pertaining
to the Central Business District Plan have been approved by
the Plan Commission of the Village of Mount Prospect with
the recommendation that the said proposed development approved
for the Central Business District be adopted by the corporate
authorities of the VillaGe as a part of the Official Village
Plan; and
Whereas, the corporate authoritios of the Village
of Mount Prospect desire to amend the VillaGe Plan of the
Village of Mount Prospect by aaoptlng the proposed development
plan for the Centralf3uslness District and also do hereby
approve that portion 0 f the :t<;vn rt Kincaid & Asso ci ate s report

dealing with the Central [3usiness D:i.strict (pages 36 through
the second paragraph of page 1+0), "'Ihi ch said portion of said
report is incorporated herein by reference and made a part
hereof, and which said plan for the Central Business Distric t
shall be on file at the office of the Village Clerk,

PECrI', COOK COUliFl'Y, ILLINOIS:
Section 1: 'I'ha t Section 2 of Arti cle I of the
Village Plan as amended, be and the same is hereby amended
by adding thereto subsection (d), which said subsection shall
he and hereafter read as follows:
"(d) Map No.2, together with all notations,
references and other matters shown thereon entitled
"Proposed Development Plan Business District, Vil-
lage of Mount Prospect, Illinois" which sets forth
a comprehe.nsive plan for the proposed Central
Business District wi thin the Village of Mormt Pros-
pect is hereby adopted as a part of the Official
Plan of the Villa~e of Mount Prospect."
Section 2: rIbe Central 3usiness District Plan
contained in pages 36 through the second paragraph of page 40
of ~vert Kincaid & Associates report dated September 5, 1957, is
hereby approved and aHopted hy incorporation herein and shall
be maintained on file by the Village Clerk of the Village of
Mount Prospect in order that reference may be made thereto
for the purpose of supplying information relative to the de-
tails for the proposed development of the Central Business
Districto
Section.ll 'That this Ordinance shall be in full
force ~Dd effect from and after its passage, approval and
publication according to law.
Section 4: That all ordinances or parts of ordi-
nances in conflict hereHith be and the same are hereby re-
pealed, reserving however, to the Village of Mount Prospect

any rights which have accrued to it against any person,
firm or corporatton under any ordinance or sections of
ordinances which may he and are hereby repealed.
