AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 18,310
OF ARTICLE III, CHAPTER 18 OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF MOUNT PROSPECT OF
1957 AS AMENDED
\{HEREAS, the corporate authorities of the Village
of Mount Prospect have determined that it is in the best
interest of an orderly and efficient administration of
justice to elaborate upon certain requirements contained in
the Rules for Driving,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT
AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK
COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
Section 1: That Chapter 18, Article III, Section
18.310 of the Municipal Code of Mount Prospect of 1957, as
amended, be and the same is hereby amended to and shall here-
after read as follows:
"Section 18.310 "Ull Turns. It shall be
unlawful for the operator of any vehicle to
make a llU" turn at any place where such turns
are prohibited by designation of the Village
Manager and when appropriate signs giving
notice of such prohibition have been posted
in accordance with the provisions of this Code.
For the purpose of this section a "U" turn is
defined as a turn of more than 90 degrees.ll
Section 2: That this Ordinance shall be in full
force and effect from and after its passage, approval and
publication according to law.
Section 3: That all ordinances or parts of ordi-
nances in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby re-
pealed, reserving however, to the Village of Mount Prospect
any rights which have accrued to it against any person, firm
or corporation under any ordinances, or sections of ordi-
nances which may be and are hereby repealed.
