ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES OF COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MEETING OF NOVEMBER 11, 2008 ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING OF DECEMBER 9, 2008 III. CITIZENS TO BE HEARD IV. CHAPTER 13 LIQUOR CODE REVISIONS Over the course of the last thirty-four years, Chapter 13 of the municipal code entitled "Alcoholic Liquors" (hereinafter "Liquor Code") has been comprehensively revised only twice (1975 and 1994). Today, the current version of the Liquor Code fails to adequately address many of the demands presented by the business community and consumers including wine and beer tasting; promotional, charity, and outdoor entertainment events; corkage; wine by the glass; and taking a partially consumed bottle of wine home. Moreover, some of the language in the current Liquor Code is no longer relevant. Accordingly, during the last eighteen months, Staff has meticulously reviewed the Liquor Code, as well as the current liquor license application process, and drafted a revised version that addresses these issues. Notably, liquor licensees were notified of the revision and invited to attend the COW meeting to share their comment or concerns. Appropriate staff will be on hand to answer questions and facilitate discussion. V. VILLAGE MANAGER'S REPORT VI. ANY OTHER BUSINESS VII.
