AN ORDINANCE TO ANNEX CERTAIN TERRITORY TO
THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY,
ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, on the 1st day of April, 1958, the duly
qualified and acting secretary of the Board of Education
of School District #57, Cook County, Illinois, filed with
the Village Clerk of the Village of Mount Prospect the
following resolution:
lIRESOLUTION REQUESTING ANNEXATION OF
CERTAIN UNINCORPORATED TERRITORY TO
THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS
lIWHEREAS, certain real estate hereinafter described
is owned by the Trustees of Schools of Township 41 North,
Range 11 East of the Third Principal Meridian, Cook County,
Illinois, and their successors in office for the use of
School District Number 57 Cook County, Illinois, is situated
in unincorporated territory adjacent to the Village of Mount
Prospect, Illinois, and
lIWHEREAS, the Board of Education, School District Number
57 Cook County, Illinois, deems it to the best interests of
said School District that said real estate be annexed to
the Village of Mount Prospect, and
"WHEREAS, Section 7-11.1 of the Revised Cities and
Villages Act provides that upon adoption of a resolution
by the Board of Education recommending annexation such real
estate may be annexed by the adjacent municipality.
lINOW, THEREFORE, be it and it is hereby resolved by
the Board of Education of School District Number 57, Cook
County, Illinois, as follows:
I'SECTION 1: That this Board of Education does hereby
recommend and request the annexation of the following

described real estate which lies adjacent and contiguous
to the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois, to-wit:
That part of Lots lIFlI and lIJ" in Kirchhoff's Sub-
division of the N. W. t of the N. W. t and the
North 10 chains of the S. W. t of the N. W. t of
Section 11, Township 41, North, Range 11 East of
the 3rd principal Meridian, described as followsj
The North 120 feet of the South 680 feet, as
measured on the West line thereof, (except the West
16.50 feet thereof) of said Lot lIF", also the North
100 feet of the South 880 feet, as measured on the
West line thereof, (except the West 16.50 feet
thereof) of said Lot "FIl, and that part of Lot IlJIl
in Kirchhoff's Subdivision aforesaid lying North of
a line 560 feet North of and parallel with the South
line of said Lots lIF" and lIJII, as measured on the
West line of said Lot lIF" and lying West of the center
of Weller Creek, being a line described as commencing
at a point 721.75 feet East of the West line of said
Lot "F" on said line 560 feet North of the South line
of said Lots lIF" and "JlI, as measured on the West line
of Lot IlFIl, thence Northerly along the center of Heller
Creek, 320.32 feet to a point 700.93 feet East of the
West line of said Lot "FlI on a line 880 feet North of
and parallel to the South line of said Lots lIFlI and lIJlI,
as measured on the West line of said Lot IlFlIj thence
Northerly 152.47 feet to a point 688.58 feet East of
the v/est line of said Lot lIF'1 on a line drawn parallel
to the South line of said Lots "FIl and "JIl from a
point on the \-Jest line of said Lot lIF", 1032.18 feet
North of the Southwest corner of Lot IlFllj thence
Northerly 306.97 feet along the center of Weller Creek,
to a point on the North line of said Lot IlJII, 307.60
feet East of the Northwest corner of Lot lIJIl, said
point being on the Northline of said Section 11, 630.40
feet East of the Northwest corner thereof, in Cook
County, Illinois.
lISECTION 2: That the Secretary of this Board of Education
is hereby authorized and directed to transmit a certified copy
of this resolution to the corporate authorities of the Village
of Mount Prospect, Illinois.
IlSECTION 3: That this resolution shall be in full force
and effect from and after its adoption, December 16, 1957.

I, the undersigned, do hereby certify that I am the
duly qualified and acting Secretary of the Board of Educa-
tion of School District Number 57, Cook County, Illinois,
and as such official I do further certify that attached
hereto is a true, correct and compared copy of the resolu-
tion adopted by the Board of Education of said School
District on December 16, 1957, providing for the annexation
of certain unincorporated territory to the Village of Mount
Prospect, Illinois.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF I have hereunto set my official
hand of office at the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois,
this 16th day of December, 1957.

WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Mount Prospect have independently determined
that said property, as described in the aforesaid resolution,
is situated in unincorporated territory adjacent to the
Village of Mount Prospect,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND
BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK
COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
Section 1: That the following-described property:
That part of Lots IlFIl and "J" in Kirchhoff's Sub-
division of the N. W. t of the N. W. t and the North
10 chains of the S. H. t of the N. W. t of Section 11,
Township 41 North, Range 11 East of the 3rd Principal
Meridian, described as followsj The North 120 feet of
the South 680 feet, as measured on the West line there-
of, (except the Hest 16.50 feet thereof) of said Lot IlF",
also the North 100 feet of the South 880 feet, as

Prospect, Cook County, Illinois, pursuant to the provisions
of Section 7-11.1 of the Cities and Villages Act as amended.
Section 2: That this ordinance shall be effective upon
its passage, approval and publication according to law.
Section 3: That the Village Clerk of the Village of
Mount Prospect is hereby authorized and directed to record
with the Recorder of Deeds of Cook County, Illinois, a certi-
fied copy of this ordinance, together with an accurate map of
the territory annexed, attached hereto and made a part hereof.
