AN ORDINANCE TO ANNEX CERTAIN TERRITORY TO
THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY,
ILLINOIS
\oJHEREAS, on Narch II , 1958 JOHN P. MOEHLING, JR.,
and ~ffiE MOEHLING, filed with the Village Clerk of the
Village of Mount Prospect the following petition:
IlPETITION FOR ANNEXATION
To: The President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois

The undersigned petitioners, being first duly
sworn, on oath depose and state that they constitute
all the owners of record and all the electors re-
siding on the hereinafter described property:
That part of the Southwest Quarter of
Section 12, Township 41 North Range 11
East of the Third Principal Meridian, de-
scribed as follows: Beginning at a point
on the South line of the Southwest Quarter
of Section 12 at the Southeast corner of
Pleasant-Dale Subdivision, a Subdivision
in the said Southwest Quarter of said
Section 12; thence East along the South
line of the Southwest Quarter of Section
12, 190 feet; thence North 250.03 feet,
parallel with the East line of said Pleasant-
Dale Subdivision; thence West parallel to the
South line of the said Southwest Quarter to
East line of said Pleasant-Dale Subdivision;
thence South 250.03 feet along the East line
thereof, to the place of beginning; excepting
therefrom the South 50 feet of said described
property; and excepting also the East 33 feet
of said described property, in Cook County,
Illinois.
Petitioners further state that the above described
land is territory which is not within the limits of any
municipali ty but vlhich is contiguous to the Village of

Mount Prospect, Illinois.

Petitioners respectfully request annexation of
said land to the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois.

WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Mount Prospect have considered the question of
annexation of the territory described in said petition;
and
WHEREAS, the President and the Board of Trustees of
the Village of Mount Prospect have independently determined
that said property, as described in the aforesaid petition,
is not within the corporate limits of any municipality, that
it is contiguous to the present village limits of the Village
of Mount Prospect, and that the aforesaid petitioners con-
stitute the owners of record of all the land described in
the aforesaid petition, and constitute all the electors
residing on said land,
NOVI, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND
BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK
COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
Section 1: That the following-described property:
That part of the Southwest Quarter of Section 12,
Township 41 North Range 11 East of the Third
Principal Meridian, described as follows: Be-
ginning at a point on the South line of the South-
west Quarter of Section 12 at the Southeast corner
of Pleasant-Dale Subdivision, a Subdivision in the
said Southwest Quarter of said Section 12; thence

East along the South line of the Southwest Quarter
of Section 12, 190 feet; thence North 250.03 feet,
parallel with the East line of said Pleasant-Dale
Subdivision; thence West parallel to the South line
of the said Southwest Quarter to East line of said
Pleasant-Dale Subdivision; thence South 250.03 feet
along the East line thereof, to the place of beginning;
excepting therefrom the South 50 feet of said des-
cribed property; and excepting also the East 33 feet
of said described property, in Cook County, Illinois,
be and the same is hereby annexed to the Village of Mount
Prospect, Cook County, Illinois, pursuant to the provisions
of Section 7-6(a) of the Cities and Villages Act as amended.
Section 2: That this ordinance shall be effective upon
its passage, approval and publication according to law.
Section 3: That the Village Clerk of the Village of
Mount Prospect is hereby authorized and directed to record
with the Recorder of Deeds of Cook County, Illinois, a
certified copy of this ordinance, together with an accurate
map of the territory annexed, attached hereto and made a
part hereof.
