AN ORDINANCE TO ANNEX CERTAIN TERRITORY TO
THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY,
ILLIN OIS
WHEREAS, on the 15th day of April, 1958, Ordinance
No. 606 was adopted by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Mount Prospect in accordance with Resolu-
tion of Board of Education School District Number 57, Cook
Oounty, Illinois, regarding annexation of certain unincorpora-
ted territory under the provisions of Section 7-11.1 of the
Revised Cities and Villages Act; and
WHEREAS, certain property intended to be included in
the said resolution was omitted and the said Board of Educa-
tion desires to request annexation of the property as des-
cribed in Resolution adopted on May 5, 1958; and
WHEREAS, on the 7th day of May, 1958, the duly qualified
and acting secretary of the Board of Education of School Dis-
trict #57, Cook County, Illinois, filed with the Village
Clerk of the Village of Mount Prospect the following resolu-
tion:
nRESOLUTION REQUESTING ANNEXATION OF
CERTAIN UNINCORPORATED TERRITORY TO
THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, certain real estate hereinafter described
(except part dedicated for public street) is owned by the
Trustees of Schools of Township 41 North, Range 11, East of
the Third Principal Meridian, Cook County, Illinois, and
their successors in office for the use of School District
Number 57, Cook County, Illinois, is situated in unincorporated

territory, adjacent to the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois,

WHEREAS, the Board of Education, School District Number
57, Cook County, Illinois, deems it to the best interests of
said School District that said real estate be annexed to the
Village of Mount Prospect, and
WHEREAS, Section 7-ll~1 of the Revised Cities and Villages
Act provides that upon adoption of a resolution by the Board
of Education recommending annexation such real estate may be
annexed by the adjacent municipality.
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it and it is hereby resolved by the
Board of Education of School District Number 57, Cook Oounty,
Illinois, as follows:
SECTION 1: That this Board of Education does hereby
recommend and request the annexation of the following described
real estate which lies adjacent and contiguous to the Village
of Mount Prospect, Illinois, to-wit:
That part of Lots "F" and lfJ" in Kirchhoff's
Subdivision of the NW 1/4 of the NW 1/4 and the
North 10 chains of the SW 1/4 of the NW 1/4 of
Section 11, Township 41 North, Range 11 East of
the 3rd Principal Meridian, described as follows:
The North 120 feet of the South 680 feet, as
measured on the West line thereof of said Lot flFtI,
also the North 100 feet of the South 880 feet as
measured on the West line thereof of said Lot "F"
and that part of Lot "JII in Kirchhoff's Subdivision
aforesaid lying North of a line 560 feet North of and
r.arallel with the South line of said Lots "F" and
'J", as measured on the West line of said Lot "F"
and lying West of the center line of Weller Creek.
SECTION 2: That the Secretary of this Board of Education
is hereby authorized and directed to transmit a certified
copy of this resolution to the corporate authorities of the
Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois.
SECTION 3: That this resolution shall be in full force
and effect from and after its adoption.

I, the undersigned, do hereby certify that I am
the duly qualified and acting Seoretary of the Board
of Education of School District Number 57, Cook County,
Illinois, and as such official I do further certify that
attached hereto is a true, correct and oompared oopy of
the resolution adopted by the Board of Education of said
School District on May 5th, 195B, providing for the
annexation of oertain unincorporated territory to the
Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my official
hand of office at the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois,
this 5th day of May, 1958.

WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Mount Prospect desire to rescind Ordinance No. 606
which has never been recorded with the County Recorder of Deeds
and to annex the property as described in the Resolution of
May 5, 1958 and, further, have independently determined that
said property, as described in the aforesaid resolution, is
situated in unincorporated territory adjacent to the Village
of Mount Prospect,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND
BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK
COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
Section l: That Ordinance No. 606, adopted April l5,
1958, be and the same is hereby rescinded in its entirety.

Section 2: That the following-described property:
That part of Lots "F" and "JII in Kirchhoff's
Subdivision of the NW 1/4 of the NW 1/4 and the

with the Recorder of Deeds of Cook County, Illinois, a certi-
fied copy of this ordinance, together with an accurate map of
the territory annexed, attached hereto and made a part hereof.
