RESOLUTION NO. 45-94
A RESOLUTION NOTING THE PASSING OF EDWARD B. RHEA, JR.
WHEREAS, EDWARD B. RHEA, JR. and his wife Jeanne were residents of the
Village of Mount Prospect for many years, raising their children Edward III, Bridget
and Marita; and
WHEREAS, EDWARD B, RHEA, JR. was elected to the Office of Village Trustee of
the Village of Mount Prospect in 1975, serving in that capacity until 1977; and
WHEREAS, EDWARD B. RHEA, JR. was a successful businessman and brought hiS
knowledge and expedenca to benefit the Village; and
WHEREAS, EDWARD B. RHEA, JR. was an active member of the Mount Prospect
Lions Club, serving as President in 1986, where he gave generously of his time both
as a leader and eager participant in many programs that benefitted both residents in
need as well as the community as a whole; and
WHEREAS, EDWARD B. RHEA, JR. was an active member of the Mount
Prospect/Prospect Heights United Way, the Moose Club and the American Legion;
and
WHEREAS, EDWARD B. RHEA, JR. earned the respect and affection of his peers as
well as the residents of the Village of Mount Prospect.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount
Prospect do hereby acknowledge the many contributions of EDWARD B. RHEA, JR.
and do hereby express sincere sympathy to his family on his passing.
SECTION 'rvvo: That this Resolution be spread upon the minutes of the Board of
Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect and that a copy hereof, suitably prepared,
be presented to the family of EDWARD B. RHEA, JR.
SECTION THREE: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage and approval in the manner provided by law.
