RESOLUTION NO. 8-96
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE VILLAGE :OF MOUNT PROSPECT AND
THE NORTHWEST SUBURBAN SPECIAL EDUCATION ORGANIZATION (NSSEOI
WHEREAS, the Northwest Suburban Special Education Organization (NSSEO) provides
an education to children from Kindergarten through 12th grade including children from
many different school districts; and
WHEREAS, the Northwest Suburban Special Education Organization (NSSEO) and
School District 57 have entered into a Lease Agreement to lease the property known as
Westbrook School; and
WHEREAS, in order to provide appropriate security at the school, the Northwest
Suburban Special Education Organization has requested the Village of Mount Prospect
to provide a Student Resource Officer (SRO) with all costs involved with the Student
Resource Officer to be paid by the Northwest Suburban Special Education Organization;
and
WHEREAS, the Village of Mount Prospect is desirous of entering into an Agreement with
the Northwest Suburban Special Education Organization in order provide a Student
Resource Officer at Westbrook School, a copy of said Agreement is attached hereto and
hereby made a part hereof as Exhibit "A".
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That the Mayor and Board of Trustees do hereby authorize execution
of an Agreement between the Village of Mount Prospect and the Northwest Suburban
Special Education Organization to provide a Student Resource Officer, a copy of said
Agreement is attached hereto and hereby made a part hereof as Exhibit "A".
SECTION TWO: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and approval in the manner provided by law.
