MAYOR'S REPORT A. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 13 (ALCOHOLIC LIQUORS) OF THE VILLAGE CODE (Exhibit A) This ordinance grants a Class "C" liquor license (retail package sales only) to Dominick's Finer Foods, 1145 Mount Prospect Plaza. OLD BUSINESS A. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION FOR PROPERTY COMMONLY KNOWN AS 802 SOUTH WILLIAM STREET (Exhibit B This ordinance grants a variation to allow the construction of a new garage, using the existing garage pad/floor, which currently encroaches into the side yard. The Zoning Board of Appeals has recommended approval of the request by a vote of 4-0. B. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 5039 FOR A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR PROPERTY COMMONLY KNOWN AS 2400 TERMINAL DRIVE (Exhibit C) This ordinance amends Ordinance No. 5039, which granted a Conditional Use permit, to allow the construction of a truck maintenance facility. The Zoning Board of Appeals has recommended approval of the request by a vote Of 4-0. C. 1St reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION FOR PROPERTY COMMONLY KNOWN AS 1104 SOUTH CHURCH ROAD (Exhibit D) This ordinance grants a variation to allow a pool and deck addition to encroach eight feet (8') into the rear yard setback and ten feet (10') into the exterior side setback. The Zoning Board of Appeals has recommended approval of the request by a vote of 4-0. D. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 14 (ZONING) OF THE VILLAGE CODE (Exhibit E) This ordinance amends Sections VII, VIII, and XIX of the Zoning Code by adding "outdoor dining areas" as permitted uses in the B-3, B-4, and B-5 zoning districts, establishing minimum standards for the operation of outdoor dining areas, and establishing a licensing process for Village review of them. The Zoning Board of Appeals has recommended approval by a vote of 4-0. E. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 14 (ZONING) OF THE VILLAGE CODE (Exhibit F) This ordinance amends the Zoning Code by establish minimum standards for artificial lighting in parking lots. "~1St reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 4 (APPOINTIVE VILLAGE OFFICERS) OF THE MOUNT PROSPECT VILLAGE CODE (Exhibit G) This ordinance amends Chapter 4, Article IX, of the Village Code relative to the number of Captain-Shift Commanders in the Fire Department. B. '1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE DISPOSAL OF CERTAIN PERSONAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT (Exhibit H) This ordinance authorizes the Television Services Division to offer surplus equipment for sale or donation. C. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE II ENTITLED "RULES OF ORDER" OF CHAPTER 2 OF THE MOUNT PROSPECT VILLAGE CODE (Exhibit I) This ordinance amends the order of business of Village Board meetings by placing the Consent Agenda towards the beginning of meetings, rather than towards the end, as was approved at the July 18, 2000 meeting.
