A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION 29-98
AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
AND THE ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
RELATIVE TO THE IMPROVEMENT OF ELMHURST ROAD SOUTH OF GOLF ROAD
WHEREAS, on June 2, 1998, the corporate authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect
determined that it was in the best interests of the Village to participate with the State of
Illinois Department of Transportation to participate in sharing specific costs in conjunction
with the improvement of Elmhurst Road (Route 83) south of Golf Road; and
WHEREAS, it was further determined that it would be in the best interest of all concerned
to enter into an Agreement to share costs, the Village share being $13,153.00, in
conjunction with the improvement of Elmhurst Road (Route 83) south of Golf Road; and
WHEREAS, the Agreement originally approved has subsequently been amended to
include the cost of relocation of the Emergency Vehicle Pre-Emption (or Opticom) thereby
increasing the Village's share to $20,340;
WHEREAS, the Agreement being the subject of this Resolution specifies the portion of the
cost that will be paid by the Village of Mount Prospect.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That the Mayor is hereby authorized to sign and the Clerk is authorized
to attest his signature on the revised Agreement between the Village of Mount Prospect
and the Illinois Department of Transportation, being the subject of this Resolution, a copy
of said Agreement is attached hereto and hereby made a part hereof as Exhibit "A".
SECTION TWO: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and approval in the manner provided by law.
