ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE MuNICIPAL CODE
OF MOUNT PROSPECT OF 1957 BY AMENDING
CHAPTER 18, ARTICLE II
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUST~ES
OF THE 'VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPEC'r, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
Section 1: That Chapter 18, Article II of the IVluni-
cipal Code of Mount Prospect of 1957 as amended, be and
the same is hereby amended to and shall hereafter read as
follows:
HSection 18.201(c). In addition to the
through streets heretofore established in this
Article, the following street is hereby de-
clared to constitute a through street:
All traffic shall stop before entering
in, upon or across that part of Central
Road from, and including, Arthur Avenue
on the west to, and including, Mount
Prospect Road on the east exceot that
all traffic on Central Road and North-
west Highway shall stop before entering
in, across or upon the intersection of
said streets and except for the inter-
section of Main street and Central Road
whereat the traffic shall be controlled
by mechanical stop and go lights while
the same are in operation.
"The provisions and requirements set forth
in the last paragraph of Section 18.201 shall
apply hereto. 11
Section 2: That this ordinance shall be in full
force and effect from and after its passage, approval and
publication according to law.
Section 3: That all ordinances or parts of ordin-
ances in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby

repealed, reserving however, to the Village of Mount Prospect
any rights which have accrued to it against any person, firm
or corporation under any ordinances or parts of ordinances
which may be and are hereby repealed.
