AN ORDINANCE amending, enacting,
codifying and consolidating the
Building Ordinance of the Village of
Mount Prospect, Illinois
WHEREAS, numerous changes and additions have, from time to
time been made in the Building Ordinances of the Village of Mount
Prospect, Illinois since the year 1938 and it is neces sary that such
ordinances should be revised, that defects therein should be corrected,
and that amendments and additions thereto should be enacted and that
they should be reenacted in a form codified and arranged in appropriate
chapters and sections;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and
Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County,
Illinois that the following ordinance be and the same is hereby adopted
as a code of building ordinances to be known as "Mount Prospect
Building Code of 195711:
CHAPTER XI
EFFECTIVE DATE
1. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
2. This ordinance consisting of Chapters I to XI inclusive,
the same being hereby designated as the llMount Prospect Building
Code of 1957", shall take effect and be in full force from and after
its pas sage, approval and publication according to law.
3. That this ordinance shall be and the same is hereby
authorized to be printed, and published in booklet form.
