An Ordinance to amend an ordinance entitled "Mount Prospect I
Building Code of 1957" (Noo 533)
BE IT ORDAINED BY TEE PRESIDEN'I' ANI) BOARD OF 'l'RUSTEES OF
'I'HE VILLAGE OF l'ilOUN'l' PROSPEC'i', COOK CODl~'rY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1. That an ordinance enti tIed "r"'lount Prospect
Building Code of 1957" (No. 533) passed and approved January 2,
1957 be and the sa.'Tle is :bereby amended by dele ting therefrom
that portion of Section 8 of Chapter VII l..Jhich reads as
follows:
"provided, however, that an effective flue or outlet pipe,
constructed of asbestos and portland cement, of a type
approved by the National Board of Underwriters, may be
used in lieu of masonry type of chimney. Such pipe shall
have at least one inch clearance from all combustible
materials."
SECTION 2. That this ordinance shall be in full force and
affect upon its passage, approval and publicati on according to
law.
