ORDINANCE NO.S~I
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF
MOUNT PROSPECT OF 1957 (ORDINANCE NO. 534)
BY AMENDING CHAPTER 25
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUS-
TEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
Section 1: That Chapter 25 of the Municipal Code
of Mount Prospect of 1957 (Ordinance No. 534) be and the
same is hereby amended by adding the following:
"ARTICLE IV - DAMAGE TO VILLAGE PROPERTY:
"Section 25.401. It shall be unlawful for any
person, firm or corporation to wilfully or
negligently damage, break, deface, destroy or
injure, in any manner whatsoever, any property
of any kind or nature and wherever located,
belonging to the Village of Mount Prospect,
including but not limited to sidewalks, streets,
curbs, pavement, trees, manhole covers and any
other Village property not specifically named
herein, but excluding such other specific pro-
perty as may be more particularly and specifi-
cally named and included within other Sections
of this Municipal Code.
"Section 25.499. Penalty. Any person, firm
or corporation violating any provision of this
Article shall be fined not less than One Dollar
($1.00) nor more than Two Hundred Dollars
($200.00) for each offense."
Section 2: That this Ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication
according to law.
