HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 502 07/24/1956 Ordinance No. 502 AN ORDINANC E vacating Highland Road in the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect after due investigation and consideration have determined that the nature and extent of the public use and the public interest to be subserved is such as to warrant the vacation of public street described in this ordinance; THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION 1. That the street known as Highland Road lying Southerly of the South line of Railroad Avenue and lying Westerly of and adjoining the Easterly line of Lot 2 in Oehlerking1s Division of the East half of the Southeast Quarter and the East Half of the West Half of the Southeast Quarter of Section 12, Township 41 North, Range 11 East of the Third Principal Meridian, (except the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad right-of-way, also except that part of the East 15.0 chains of said South... east Quarter lying North of said railroad right...of...way and also except therefrom the East 8.6 chains of said Southeast Quarter lying South of said Railroad right-of...way), in Cook County, Illinois, in the Village of Mount Prospect as colored in red and indicated by the words "Hereby Vacated" on plat hereto attached, which plat for greater certainty is hereby made a part of this ordinance, be and the same is hereby vacated and closed, is no longer required for public use and the public interest will be subserved by such vacation. SECTION 2. That the Village Clerk be and he is hereby directed to record and file a certified copy of this ordinance and said plat in the office of the Registrar of Titles of Cook County, Illinois and to record a certified copy of this ordinance and said plat in the Office of the Recorder of Deeds of Cook County, Illinois. SECTION 3.
