An ORDINANCE to amend an ordinance
establishing charges for the collection
and removal of residential garbage and
refuse.
BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois:
SECTION 1. That the last sentence of ~ection 1 of an
ordinance entitled "An ordinance establishing charges for
the collection and removal of residential garbage and refuse,"
(Ordinance No. 489) is hereby amended to read: "Bills for
said charge shall be rendered quarterly in advance on or
about the 10th day of the month preceeding the first month
of the quarter covered by said bills a.nd shall be paid on or
before the 25th day of said month."
SECTION 2. That Section 1 of an ordinance entitled
~
"An ordinance establishing charges for the collection and
removal of residential garbage and refuse," (Ordinance No. 489)
is hereby a~ended by adding thereto the following language:
"No collection service shall be rendered to anyone who has
not paid for said service in advance as herein provided.-
SECTION 3. That Section 5 of an ordinance entitled
"An ordinance establishing charges for the collection and
removal of residential garbage and refuse," (Ordinance No. 489)
is hereby amended by adding after the language "Vermin or rats.
the following language: "and any garbage accumulated for more
than seven (7) days shall be considered a violation of this
ordinance."
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect upon its passage, approval and publication according
to law.
