HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 512 09/04/1956 Ordinance No. 51.2. AN OR DINANCE granting a variation from the provisions of the Mount Prospect Zoning Ordinance. WHEREAS, the Zoning Commission of the Village of Mount Prospect, at a public hearing duly called and held according to law, considered the que stion of granting a variation to permit in the R-2 Residence District the use for off-street parking on the real estate hereinafter described; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees having considered the recommendation of the said Zoning Commission find and believe that the public intere st will be subserved by the granting of said variation; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That a variation from the provisions of an ordinance entitled "An ordinance classifying, regulating and restricting the location \ of trades and industries and the location of buildings designed for specified use s; regulating and limiting the height and bulk of buildings hereafter erected or altered, regulating and limiting the intensity of the use of lot areas and regulating and determining the area of yards, courts and other open spaces within and surrounding such buildings; establishing the boundaries of districts for the said purposes and prescribing penalties for the violation of its provisions", passed and approved December 4, 1923, known as Ordinance No. 52, as amended, be granted in the R-2 Residence District, on the following described real estate, to-wit: Lots 31,32 and the South 1/2 of Lot 33 in Block 20 in Mt. Prospect a subdivision of part of the Northwest Quarter and part of the Southeast Quarter of Section 12, Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian in Cook County, Illinois for off-street parking of private passenger aubomobiles in conjunction with the operation of a funeral home on the adjoining lots 28,29 and 30 upon condition that said land shall be surfaced and landscaped. Section 2. That said real e state shall be subject to all limitations and conditions placed upon non-conforming uses as defined in said ordinance heretofore mentioned. Section 3. Any person, firm or corporation who violates, disobeys, omits, neglects or refuses to comply with or who resists the enforcement of any of the provisions of this Ordinance shall be fined not less than Ten Dollars ($10.00) nor more than One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) for each offense; each day that a violation ispermitted to exist shall constitute a separate offense. Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval andpublication according to law. PASSED: this ~ day of ,.Jei'~J~. , 1956.
