AN ORDINANCE TO ANNEX CERTAIN TERRITORY
TO THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT,
COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS
\fHEREAS, on June 25, 1958, the following petition was
filed with the Village Clerk of the Village of Mount
Prospect:
IlRESOLUTION REQUESTING ANNEXATION OF
CERTAIN UNINCORPORATED TERRITORY TO THE
VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, certain real estate hereinafter described
is owned by the MOUNT PROSPECT VETERANS CLUB, Inc., (an
Illinois corporation not for profit) and their succes-
sors by their corporate name, which is situated in un-
incorporated territory, adjacent to the Village of
Mount Prospect, Illinois, and

that said real estate be annexed to the Village of

Mount Prospect, and
WHEREAS, Article 7, Section 6A of the Revised
Cities and Villages Act provides that the owners of
record of unincorporated territory having no electors
residing thereon or therein, may by written petition,
signed by the owners of record of all land within
such territory, seek annexation of such territory by
the adjacent municipality, and
WHEREAS, at a special meeting of the members of
the corporation at which a quorum was present and
voting, held on the 19th day of May, A. D. 1958, the
directors of said corporation were, by proper motion

made, seconded and passed, authorized to petition for
annexation to the Village of Mount Prospect and pursuant
thereto it is hereby
RESOLVED by the directors of the Mount Prospect
Veterans Club, Inc., as follows:
Section 1: That the directors do hereby recommend
and request the annexation of the following described
real estate which is adjacent and contiguous to the
Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois, to-wit:
The East 100 feet of the West 800 feet of the
South 208 feet of lot IlDIl in Kirchoff's subdi-
vision in Section 33, Township 42 North,
Range 11 North of the Third Principal Meridian
Section 2: That the directors do hereby affirm

that there are not at this time any electors residing

on the above described premises.

Section 3: That this resolution, appearing in

the minutes of the corporation, is in full force and
effect as of the date inscribed hereon.
Section 4: That the Secretary of the Board of
Directors of the corporation is hereby authorized
and directed to transmit a certified copy of this
resolution to the corporate authorities of the
Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois.

WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Mount Prospect have considered the question of
annexation of the territory described in said petition;
and
WHEREAS, the President and the Board of Trustees of
the Village of Mount Prospect have independently determined
that said property, as described in the aforesaid petition,
is not within the corporate limits of any municipality,
that it is contiguous to the present Village limits of the
Village of Mount Prospect, that no electors reside thereon,
and that the aforesaid petitioner constitutes the owner of
record of all the land described in the aforesaid petition,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND
BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK
COUNTY, ILLINOIS:

Section 1: That the following-described property:
The East 100 feet of the West 800 feet of the
South 208 feet of lot IlDII in Kirchoff's subdi-
vision in Section 33, Township 42 North,
Range 11 North of the Third Principal Meridian
be and the same is hereby annexed to the Village of Mount
Prospect, Cook County, Illinois, pursuant to the provisions
of Section 7-6 (a) of the Cities and Villages Act as
amended.
Section 2: That this ordinance shall be effective
upon its passage and approval according to law.
Section 3: That the Village Clerk of the Village of
Mount Prospect is hereby authorized and directed to record
with the Recorder of Deeds of Cook County, Illinois, a
certified copy of this ordinance, together with an accurate
map of the territory annexed, attached hereto and made a
part hereof.
