AF/ 4/29/92 ORDINANCE NO. 4429 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF SPECIFIED PROPERTY OWNED BY THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT WHEREAS, in the opinion of at least three-fourths of the corporate authorities of the village of Mount Prospect, it is no longer necessary or useful to or in the best interests of the Village of Mount Prospect to retain ownership of the personal property listed hereinbelow; and WHEREAS, it has been determined by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect that the best interests of the Village would be served by selling said personal property at a public auction to be conducted by the Mount Prospect Police Department on Saturday, May 16, 1992. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION ONE: That pursuant to Section 11-76-4 of the Illinois Municipal Code, Illinois Revised Statutes, Chapter 24, Section 11- 76-4, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect find that the personal property listed herein owned by the Village of Mount Prospect is no longer necessary or useful to said Village and the best interests of the Village of Mount Prospect will be served by its sale. SECTION TWO: That the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect hereby authorizethe sale of the personal property owned by the Village of Mount Prospect through auction conducted by the Mount Prospect Police Department at 11 South Pine Street, Mount Prospect, Illinois on Saturday, May 16, 1992, a copy of said personal property is attached hereto and hereby made a made hereof as Exhibit "A" SECTION THREE: That the Mount Prospect Police Department is hereby authorized to sell by auction to the highest bidder the personal property owned by the Village of Mount Prospect as listed in Exhibit "A" hereto as well as abandoned and confiscated property in the possession of the Mount Prospect Police Department. SECTION FOUR: That upon receipt of full payment for the item, the Village Manager is hereby authorized and directed to convey and transfer title to the aforesaid personal property to the successful bidder. SECTION FIVE: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication in pamphlet form in the manner provided by law.
