CALL TO ORDER
Chairman Derek Steinweg called the September 03,2008 Youth Commission meeting to order at 7:06 p.m. in
the first floor training room of the Police and Fire Headquarters, Mount Prospect, Illinois.

SEPTEMBER 03, 2008
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Eric Logisz, seconded by Daniel Milewski, moved to approve the minutes of the September 03, 2008 Youth
Commission meeting with an amendment adding Chairman Derek Steinweg's name to participating with the
Youth Commission survey. Motion carried by unanimous approval.
PUBLIC RELATIONS COMMITTEE
Eric Logisz, Daniel Milewski, Alex Oplawski
YOUTH COMMISSION SURVEY
Eric Logisz and Daniel Milewski consolidated the survey information and shared their findings with members of
the commission. Members discussed the responses and the results will be included in the Youth Commission
annual report to the Village Board.
Daniel Milewski discussed the possibility of creating an additional survey to get further responses to the most
popular topic of interest to youth, curfew. Members discussed the content of the survey and the distribution to
area schools. Chairman Derek Steinweg and Daniel Milewski to create the survey and will distribute the surveys
at the October meeting.
VILLAGE COMMISSION / ORGANIZATION MEETINGS
Chairman Derek Steinweg passed around the sign up sheet for members to choose a Village commission I
organization meeting to attend and report on youth related issues. Members reviewed the dates and signed up for
various meetings. Agendas for the Commission meetings are posted on the Village website.
RECRUITMENT COMMITTEE
Adam Kiel, Nandini Roy, Derek Steinweg
YOUTH COMMISSION ADULT ADVISORS
Brian Gilligan submitted his resignation as an Adult Advisor to the Youth Commission to Mayor Irvana Wilks.
Mayor Wilks and Chairman Derek Steinweg to conduct interviews of Youth Commission applicant, Police
Liaison, and Trustee for the Youth Commission.

YOUTH VIEW
Members discussed topics for the future Youth View tapings.
