AN ORDINANCE TO ANNEX CERTAIN TERRITORY
TO THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK
COUNTY, ILLINOIS
\iHEREAS, on November 10, 1958, Martha Bu~meister
filed with the Village Clerk of the Village of Mount Pros-
pect the following amended petition to annex:
"TO THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT:
1. Your Petitioner, Martha Burmeister, is
the owner of record of the real estate in Cook County,
Illinois, legally described as follows:
The West Half of the Southeast Quarter of
Section 27, Township 42 North, Range 11
East of the Third Principal Meridian, except
that part of said tract falling in a 100 foot
strip the center line of which is described
as follows: Beginning at the Northwest cor-
ner of the Southeast Quarter of Section 2'7;
thence East along the North line of said
Southeast Quarter a distance of 550 feet to
a point of curve; thence in a generally
Easterly direction along a curved line tan-
gent to said North line of the Southeast
Quarter, convex to Northerly and having a
radius of 24555.35 feet a distance of
1028.57 feet to a point of tangency; thence
in a general Easterly direction along a
straight line tangent to the last described
curved line a distance of 165.03 feet to a
point of curve; thence in a general Easterly
direction along a curved line tangent to the
last described straight line, convex Southerly
and having a radius of 24555.35 feet for a
distance of 1028.57 feet and also except that
part of said West Half of the Southeast Quar-
ter lying Southerly and Westerly of the North-
easterly line of the right of way of Rand Road.

2. Your Petitioner, Martha Burmeister, further
states that the aforedescribed lands owned by her are
contiguous to the Village of Mount Prospect.
3. Your Petitioner further states that the only
electors residing on the afore described land are Edward
F. Lewis and Louise C. Lewis, tenants of your Petitioner,
Martha Burmeister, and that all such electors residing
thereon, namely Edward F. Lewis and Louise C. Lewis,

join in this Petition.
4. Your Petitioners, Martha Burmeister, Edward
F. Lewis and Louise C. Lewis, hereby petition the Vil-
lage of Mount Prospect to annex the lands hereinbefore
described and owned by Martha Burmeister into the
Village of Mount Prospect.
5. Attached hereto is a plat showing the pro-
perty owned of record by Petitioner, Martha Burmeister,
which is marked Exhibit A.

knowledge and belief the facts therein set forth are

WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Mount Prospect have considered the question of
annexation of the territory described in said Petition; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Mount Prospect have independently determined that
said property as described in the aforesaid petition is not

within the corporate limits of any municipality, that all
electors residing thereon and property owners have signed
said petition, and that it is contiguous to the present Vil-
lage limits of the Village of Mount Prospect,
NO\'I, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND
BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK
COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
Section 1: That the following described property:

be and the same is hereby annexed to the Village of Mount
Prospect, Cook County, Illinois, pursuant to the provisions of
Section '(-6 (a) of the Cities and Villages Act as amended.
Section 2: That this ordinance shall be effective
upon its passage and approval according to law.
Section 3: That the Village Clerk of the Village
of Mount Prospect is hereby authorized and directed to record
with the Recorder of Deeds of Cook County, Illinois, a certi-
fied copy of this ordinance, together with an accurate map

of the territory annexed, attached hereto and made a part
hereof.
