ORDINANCE NO. 645
AN ORDINANCE VACATING AN ALLEY BE-
TWEEN RIDGE AVENUE AND ELMHURSf ROAD
NORTH OF CENTRAL AVENUE IN THE VILLAGE
OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY,
ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, the following described public alley:
.An alley 16 feet in width in Block 25 of Pros-
pect Manor, being a Subdivision of part of the
S 3/4 of the W 1/2 of the W 1/2 of Section 34,
Township 42 North, Range 11 East of the Third
Principal meridian in Cook County, Illinois
established and dedicated by a plat duly executed and recorded with
the County Recorder of Cook County as Document No. 919919 on the
6th day of March, 1926,; and
vJHEREAS, the said alley as so dedicated as aforesaid is
of no appreciable service for the Village in its present location,;
and
WHEREAS, it would be in the best interest of the Village
of Mount Prospect to vacate said street in accordance with a Plat of

Vacation attached hereto and incorporated herein; and
WHEREAS, in the judgment of the corporate authroities the
sum of $200.00 equals the benefits which will accrue to the owner of

property abutting upon the said alley by reason of such vacation; and

\'JHEREAS, there are no municipal sewers, pavement, water or
other improvements or utilities established in, on, under or over
said streets,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD
OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS
Section 1: The public alley located between Ridge Avenue
and Elmhurst Road north of Central Avenue in the Village of Mount
Prospect described as follows:

.An alle:r 16 feet in width in Block 25 of Pros-
pect Manor, beinii a Subdivision of part of the
S 3/4 of the W 1/2 of the W 1/2 of Section 34,
Tmmship 42 North, Range 11 East of the Third
Principal Meridian in Cook County, illinois
having been heretofore acquired by dedication in Document No.
919919 recorded with the County Recorder of Cook County on
March 6, 1926, be and the same is hereby vacated.
Section 2: That attached hereto and incorporated herein
as a part hereof is a Plat of Vacation describing the aforesaid alley
to be vacated hereby.
Section 3: That after its publication and adoption as
provided by 18\'1, this ordinance shall take effect only upon payment
to the Village of compensation in the amount of $200.00 by the
owner of property abutting the aforesaid alley.
Section 4: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict with the provisions of this ordinance be and the same are

hereby repealed.
Section 5: That the Clerk of the Village of Molint',Prospect

be and he is hereby directed to cause this Ordinance to be recorded
with the Recorder of Cook County, illinois, upon receipt by the
Village of the compensation referred to in Section 3 above.
