AN ORDINANCE TO A~mND SECTION 8.506
OF ARTICLE V, CHAPTER 8 OF THE
f1UNICIPAL CODE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
OF 1957, AS AMENDED
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRE SIDEN'l' AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
Section 1: That Section 8.506 of Article V, Chapter 8
of the Municipal Code of Mount Prospect of 1957 as amended,
be and the same is hereby amended to and shall hereafter read
as follows:
ItSection 8.506 Official time. Central Standard
Time shall be the official time for the trans-
action of the Village business; except that the
official time shall be one hour in advance of
Central Standard Time during the period of Day-
light Saving Time as established in the City of
Chicago, Illinois.
ItAll clocks and other timepieces in or upon public
buildings or other premises maintained by or at
the expense of the Village shall be set and run
at the official time prescribed by this section."
Section 2: That this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage and approval according
to law.
Section 3: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed,
reserving however, to the Village of Mount Prospect any
rights which have accrued to it against any person, firm or
corporation under any ordinances, or sections of ordinances
which may be and are hereby repealed.
