ORDINANCE NO. L 4-1
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 18.501
OF ARTICLE V, CHAPTER 18 OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF MOUNT PROSPECT OF
1957, AS AMENDED
WHEREAS, on the 7th day of October, 1958, the corporate
authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect adopted Ordin-
ance No. 628 providing for a no parking zone on a portion of
Central Road in the Village of Mount Prospect at the request
of the Department of Public Works and Buildings of the State
of Illinois; and
WHEREAS, a request for establishment of another no park-
ing zone has been received from the said Department; and
WHEREAS, it is considered in the public interest to
rescind the said Ordinance No. 628 and to amend the Municipal
Code of the Village of Mount Prospect by inserting provisions
for such no parking zones in the body of said code for ready
reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND
BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK
COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
Section 1: That Ordinance No. 628 adopted by the cor-
porate authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect on
October 7, 1958, be and. the same is hereby rescinded in its
entirety.
Section 2: That Section 18.501 of Article V, Chapter
18 of the Municipal Code of Mount Prospect of 1957 as amended,
be and the same is hereby amended by adding thereto subheading
number 14 as follows:

traveled part of state Highway No. 83 (li~in Street,
Lincoln Avenue and Elmhurst Avenue between Golf Road
and the Chicago and Northwestern Railway Company
tracks in the Village of Mount Prospect."
Section 3: That this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication
according to law.
Section 4: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed,
reserving however, to the Village of Mount Prospect any
rights which have accrued to it against any person, firm or
corporation under any ordinances, or sections of ordinrolces
which may be and are hereby repealed.
