AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 22.201 OF
ARTICLE II OF CHAPTER 22 OF THE MUNICIPAL
CODE OF MOUNT PROSPECT OF 1957 AS AMENDED
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the corporate author-
ities of the Village of Mount Prospect that it is in the
public interest of the residents of said Village and will
enhance, improve and protect the public health, safety and
welfare of the residents of said Village to require all pro-
perties within said Village abutting on sanitary sewer lines
with buildings located not more than two hundred (200') feet
from said sanitary sewer line to connect thereto,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND
BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK
COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
Section 1: That Article II, Chapter 22 Plumbing,
Section 22.201, of the Municipal Code of Mount Prospect of
1957 as amended, be and the same is hereby amended to and
shall hereafter read as follows:
"Section 22.201 Requirement and Permits.
(A) Any building requiring sanitary sewer
facilities located within the Village on property
abutting a sanitary sewer line and which is located
within two hundred (200') feet of said sanitary sewer
line shall connect the sanitary sewer facilities in
said building to said sanitary sewer line.
(B) It shall be unlawful to make any connec-
tion with any village sewer without having first
obtained a permit therefor. Applications for such
permits shall be made to the Clerk and shall be
accompanied by a statement as to the purpose of the
connection, the premises to be served and the speci-
fications of the pipe to be connected and the drain
from house to sewer pipe. Such applications shall
be referred to the plumbing inspector; and no such
permits shall be issued unless he shall have found
that the ordinances of the village would be complied
with by the making of such connection. "

Section 2: That this Ordinance shall be in full
force and effect from and after its passage, approval and
publication according to law.
Section 3: That all ordinances or parts of ordi-
nances in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby re-
pealed, reserving however, to the Village of Mount Prospect
any rights which have accrued to it against any person, firm
or corporation under any ordinance or sections of ordinances
which may be and are hereby repealed.
