AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 11.104 OF
CHAPTER 11 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF MOUNT
PROSPECT OF 1957 AS AMENDED
WHEREAS, the corporate authorities of the Village
of Mount Prospect believe it in the interest of public health,
safety, morals and general welfare of the residents of the
Village of Mount Prospect to prohibit table games or amusement
devices within said Village and therefore believe the follow-
-
ing amendment is in the public interest,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND
BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY,
ILLINOIS:
Section 1: That Section 11.104 Table Games of
Chapter 11. Amusements, be and the same is hereby amended to
and shall hereafter read as follows:
"Section 11.104 Table Games. It shall be
unlawful to maintain or expose for public use any
table games or amusement device of any type.
"As used in this section, the term table
game or amusement device shall mean and include
any device, whether controlled by skill or chance,
for the operation of a game, pastime or contest
by the manipulation of a marble, sphere, or of
objects or figures, or by controlling the move-
ments of the same or setting them in motion by
mechanical means."
Section 2: That this Ordinance shall be in full
force and effect from and after its passage, approval and
publication according to law.
Section 3: That all ordinances or parts of ordi-
nances in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby re-
pealed, reserving however, to the Village of Mount Prospect
any rights which have accrued to it against any person, firm

which may be and are hereby repealed.
