HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 716 06/21/1960 ORDINANCE NO. 7/ I: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT ZONING ORDINANCE AS AMENDED WHEREAS, a Notice of Public Hearing with respect to the question of rezoning the following-described property from R-l (Residential) District to 1-1 (Light Industrial) District use: Property lOcated along Prospect Avenue near Maple Street, Mt. Prospect, legally described as: That part of the NWk of Sec. 12, Twp. 41 N., R. 11 E. 3rd P.M. described as follows: Coumencing at the SE corner of the NW\ of said Sec. 12 running thence Westerly along the S. line of said NWk, 754.84 ft; thence North parallel with E. line of said NWk a distance of 638.78 ft. to the point of beginning of the tract of land being described herein; thence continuing N. along said parallel line a distance of 318.45 ft. to the Southerly line of right-of- way of the Wisconsin Division of the Chicago & North Western Railway; thence Southeasterly along said Southerly line of right-of-way, a distance of 175.25 ft; thence South parallel with the E. line of said NWk, a distance of 232.89 ft; thence Westerly parallel with the S. line of said NWk, 150 ft. to the point of beginning, in Cook County, also Lot 1 in J. A. Weber's Addition to Mt. Prospect, being a Sub. of part of the E\ of the NWk of Sec. 12, Twp. 41 N., R. 11, E. 3rd P.M. in Cook County, Illinois, was duly published in the Mount Prospect Herald, a newspaper of general circulation in the Village of Mount Prospect; and WHEREAS, a Public Hearing was held by the Board of Appeals of the Village of Mount Prospect in the Village Hall in the Village of Mount Prospect on the 12th day of May, 1960, at the hour of 8:00 P.M. pursuant to the provisions of the aforesaid public notice, and all persons who desired to be heard were heard and an opportunity given to all persons who desired to make remonstrances and objections with reference thereto; and - 2 - ~, the Board of Appeals of the Village of Mount Prospect, subsequent to said public hearing, recommended that the aforesaid property be rezoned as hereinafter specified; and WHEREAS, the corporate authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect, having further considered this matter, have determined that the property hereinafter described should be rezoned as hereinafter specified in the public interest of the Village of Mount Prospect, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: Section 1: That an ordinance entitled, IIAn Ordinance classifying, regulating and restricting the location of trades and industries and the location of buildings designed for specified uses; regulating and limiting the height and bulk of buildings hereafter erected or altered, regulating and limiting the intensity of the use of lot areas and regulating and determining the area of yards, courts and other open spaces within and surrounding such buildings; establishing the boundaries of districts for said purposes, and prescribing penalties for the violation of its provisions" passed and ap- proved December 4, 1923 and amendments thereto (and known as Ordinance No. 52) as amended, be further amended by reclassify- ing the following-described real estate from R-l (Residential) to 1-1 (Light Industrial) District use: Property located along Prospect Avenue near Maple Street, Mt. Prospect, legally described as: That part of the NWk of Sec. 12, Twp. 41 N., R. 11 E. - 3 - 3rd P.M. described as follows: CODIIlencing at the SE corner of the NWk of said Sec. 12 running thence Westerly along the S. line of said NWk, 754.84 ft; thence North parallel with E. line of said NWk a distance of 638.78 ft. to the point of beginning of the tract of land being described herein; thence continuing N. along said parallel line a distance of 318.45 ft. to the Southerly line of right-of- way of the Wisconsin Division of the Chicago & North Western Railway; thence Southeasterly along said Southerly line of right-of-way, a distance of 175.25 ft; thence South parallel with the E. line of said NWk, a distance of 232.89 ft; thence Westerly parallel with the S. line of said NWk, 150 ft. to the point of beginning, in Cook County, also Lot 1 in J. Section 2: That the Zoning Plan of the Village of Mount Prospect as amended, be and the same is hereby amended to conform to the above change. Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
