Y~EREA5 it is deemed advisable and necessary and for the best interests of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois, in order to promote, protect and safeguard the public safety of the inhabitants of said Village that an addition be I constructed to the present municipal building commonly known as the "Mount Prospect Village Hall" in order to house and protect the fire fighting equipment of said Village and that necessary repairs and improvements be made to said "Mount Prospect Village Hall" so that the same will more efficiently serve the requirements of the Police and Administrative Departments of said Village; and ~treREAS funds are not available for the purpose of con- structing said improvements as hereinabove described and it will, therefore, be necessary to borrow money and in evidence thereof issue bonds of said Village for the purpose of paying the cost thereof; and before bonds can be issued, the question of issuing said bonds must be submitted to the electors of said Village and approved by a majority of the electors voting on said question at an election called for that purpose: NOW, THEREFORE, Be It Ordained by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois. as follows: section 1. That it is hereby determined to be in the interest of public safety of the inhabitants of the Village of Mount Prospect. Cook County, Illinois, that the present municipal building known as the "Mount Prospect Village Hall" be improved by constructing an addition thereto in order to house and protect the fire fighting equipment of said Village and that necessary repairs desi9nated "Municipal Building Bonds, u to be one hundred and ninety five (195) in number, be of the denomination of $l,OOO each, numbered from 1 to 195, inclusive, and mature serially $5,000 on December 1 of each of the years 1962 to 1966, inclusive, $lO,OOO on Dec ember 1 of each of the years 1967 to 1974, inclusive, and $l5,OOO on December 1 of each of the years 1975 to 1980, inclusive, and bear interest from date at the rate of not to exceed four and one-half per cent (4~) per annum, payable semiannually. That the question of issuing said $195,000 Municipal Building Bonds, as hereinabove described in Section 2 hereof, be submitted to the legal voters of said Village at a special election which is hereby called to be held in and for said Village on the ~ day of '-~~ , 1960, and the polls at election shall be opened at 6:00 o'clock A.M. and shall be closed at 6:00 o'clock P.M. of said day. That for the purpose of said election said Village of Mount Prospect has been divided into two (2) election precincts, the boundaries of each election precinct and the polling place designated for each election precinct being as follows: Election Precinct Number 1 Shall consist of all that part of the Village of Mount Prospect lying north of the center line of Central R.oad from the western boundary of said Village to the intersection of Central R.oad and the center line of the risht-of-way of the Chicaco and Northwestern Railroad and that portion of the Village of Mount Prospect I ! -4- north of the center line of the Northwe. tem Railroad right-of-way to the ea.tem boundary of said Village. POLLlNG PLACE: Central School t Central bad and Main Street in the Village of Mount Prospect Election Precinct Number 2 Shall consist of all that part of the Village of Mount Prospect lying south of the center line of Central Road from the western boundary of said Village to the intersection of Centt'al.B.oad and the center line of the right-of-way of the Chicago and Northwestern R.ailroad and that por- tion of the Village of Mount Prospect south of the Center line of the Northwestern Railroad right-of-way to the eastern boundary of said Village. POLLING PLACE: St. Raymond School, Milburn and Elmhurst Avenue in the Village of Mount Prospect. Voters must vote at the polling place designated for the election precinct within which they reside. The polls at said election will be open at 6 :00 o'clock A.M. in the morning and will be closed at 6:00 o'clock P.M. on the date of the election.
