ORDINANCE NO.15-~
AN ORDINM~CE TO AMEND SECTIONS 1.004,
2.102 and 3.113 OF THE ~mNICIPAL CODE
OF MOUNT PROSPECT OF 1957 AS AMENDED
T~EREAS, the corporate authorities of the Village
of Mount Prospect believe that the compensation for Trus-
tees should be changed from $5.00 to $10.00 per meeting;
that of the Village President from $20.00 to $25.00 per
meeting; and the Village Clerk's salary changed from
$600.00 to $750.00 per year,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT
AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT,
COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
Section 1: That Section 1.004 Bond-Oath-Salary
of Chapter 1 of the Municipal Code of Mount Prospect of
1957 as amended, be amended to and shall hereafter read as
follows:
"Section 1.004 Bond-oath-salary. Before
entering upon the duties of his office the
president shall give a bond with sureties to
be approved by the board of trustees conditioned
upon his faithful performance of his duties, in
the sum of three thousand dollars. He shall take
the oath of office as prescribed by statute and
shall receive as compensation the sum of twenty-
five ($25.00) dollars for each meeting of the
Village Board of Trustees over which he presides."
Section 2: That Section 2.l02-0ath-Salary, of
Chapter 2. The Board of Trustees, of the Municipal Code
of Mount Prospect of 1957 as amended, be amended to and
shall hereafter read as follows:
"Section 2.l02-0ath-Salary. The members of
the board of trustees shall take the oath of
office prescribed by statute and shall receive
as compensation the sum of Ten ($10.00) Dollars
for each meeting of the board of trustees attended

by the members; provided, however, that no trustees
shall receive compensation for attendance at more
than one (1) meeting per week."
Section 3: That Section 3.113 Salary, of Chap-
ter 3, the Village Clerk, of the Municipal Code of Mount
PrQspect of 1957 as amended, be amended to and shall here-
after read as follows:
I1Section 3.113 Salary. The salary of the
Village Clerk for the performance of the duties
of his office shall be the sum of $750.00 per
annum."
Section 4: That this Ordinance shall be in full
force and effect from and after its passage and approval
according to law.
Section 5: That all ordinances or parts of ordi-
nances in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby
repealed, reserving however, to the Village of Mount Prospect
any rights which have accrued to it against any person, firm
or corporation under any ordinances or parts of ordinances
which may be and are hereby repealed.
