HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 759 05/02/1961 ORDINANCE NO. 176;1__ AN ORDINANCE TO ANNEX CERTAIN TERRITORY TO THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, _Q.OQK COUNTY, ILLINOIS_ \~HEREAS, on ___---=1- ~t-__L /c-. , 19 ~ 1 , the following --'--"--'- petition was filed with the Village Clerk of the Village of Hount Prospect: IlPETITION FOR ANNEXATION The undersigned respectfully represent that they are the record owners and all of the electors residing on the following described real estate, to wit: That part of the East Half of the North- west Quarter of Section 14, Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third Prin- cipal Meridian (except the East 426 feet thereof) lying North of the center line of Golf Road as per Plat of Dedication recorded December 10, 1929 as Document No. 10550569, in Cook County, Illinois. That said real estate is not within the corporate limits of any municipality, but is contiguous to the corporate limits of the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois. That the undersigned HERMAN BUSSE and MATHILDE BUSSE, being the sole owners of the property herein above described, and HARRY RASCHER, JULIA RASCHER and BERvNN RASCHER, being electors residing on said above described property, are desirous of having said property become a part of the Village of Mount Pros- pect, Illinois. That there are only five electors residing on said above described real estate, the said being HERMAN BUSSE, MATHILDE BUSSE, HARRY RASCHER, JULIA RASCHER and BEmNN R.l\.SCHER, and the undersigned do, therefore, respectfully petition the Village of Mount Prospect to annex the above described real estate to the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois. _sf Herman Busse _!!L Ma thilde Busse s/ Harry Rascher _~L Julia Rascher ~L Berwyn rll. D. 1959. s/ SEAL ---EL Charles J. \lal tel'S Notary Publicll and VII-IEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect have considered the question of annexation of the territory described in said petition; and WHEREAS, the President and the Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect have independently determined that said property, as described in the aforesaid petition, is not Vii thin the corporate limits of any municipality, that it is contiguous to the present Village limits of the Village of Mount Prospect, and that the aforesaid petitioners constitute the owners of record of all the land described in the aforesaid petition, and constitute all the electors residing on said land, ? - .) - NOH, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: Section 1: That the following-described property: That part of the East Half of the North- west Quarter of Section 14, Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third Prin- cipal Meridian (except the East 426 feet thereof) lying North of the center line of Golf Road as per Plat of Dedication recorded December 10, 1929 as Document No. 10550569, in Cook County, Illinois. be and the same is hereby anne~ed to the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois, pursuant to the provisions of Section 7-6 (a) of the Cities and Villages Act as amended. Section 2: That this ordinance shall be effective upon its passage and approval according to law. Sectj.on 3 : That the Village ClerIc of the Village of Mount Prospect is hereby authorized and directed to record with the Recorder of Deeds of Cook County, Illinois, a certified copy of this ordinance, together with an accurate map of the territory annexed, attached hereto and made a part hereof.
