HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 775 08/01/1961 10/7/28/61 OHDINAHCE NO. 71.s-- AN ORDINANCE AI,IENDING 'I'EE ZONING URDDTANCE OF :!IOmJ'l' .t'HOSPECT REZONING l"EOPLETY AT 204 EVERGREEN S'l'HEET FRUM H-l DISTRICT TO B-3 DIS':PHICT, AND REZONING l-'HOPERTY AT 117 SotTE MAPLE STREET FROM R-l DISTRICT TO P-l DISTRICT VvliEHEAS, the Board of Appeals of the Village of Mount Prospect, sitting as a zoning co~~ission at a,public meeting duly called and held according to law (Appeal No. 61-17), considered the question of reclassifying from R-l District, Single Family Residence, to B-3 District, Business, property located at 204 Evergreen street, Mount Prospect, and reclassifying from R-l Dis- trict, Single Family Residence, to P-l District, parking District, property located at 117 South Maple Street, Mount Prospect, said real estate being legally described hereinafter, and WHEREAS, the President and Board of ':['rustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, having considered the recommendation of said Zoning Board of Appeals, find and believe that the h:tghest and best use of said real estate is that of B-3 District, Business, and P-l, Parking District, respectively, NOW, THEREFORB, BE :err Oli.DAINED by tbe President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois: Section 1. 'l'hat an ordinance entitled "An ordinance classifying, regulating and restricting the location of trades and industries and the location of buildings designed for speci- fied uses; regulating and limiting the height and bulk of build- ings hereafter erected or altered, regulating and limiting the intensity of the use of lot areas and regulating and determining the area of yards, courts and other open spaces within and sur- rounding such buildings; establishing the boundaries of districts for the said purposes; and prescribing penalties for tl1e viola- tion of its provisions" passed and approved December 4, 1923, and amenQ~ents thereto, and known as Ordinance No. 52, as amended by an ordinance known and cited as the Zoning Ordinance of ~ount Prospect passed and approved May 2, 1944, and as su~sequently amended to date hereof, be amended by: (a) Reclassifying from R-l District to B-3 District the following described property: Lot 12 (except the North 10 feet thereof) in Block 11 in Busse and Wille's Resubdivision, being a subdivision in the West half of Sec- tion 12, Township 41 North, Range 11 East of the 'l'hird Principal T.;:eridian, Cook County, Illinois, also known as 204 Evergreen Street; (b) Reclassifying from B-1 District to P-l Parking Dis- trict the following described property: Lot 9 and the North 10 feet of Lot 10, the North 10 feet of Lot 11, the North 10 feet of Lot 12 and the West 12 feet of the North 10 feet of Lot 13, all in Block 11 in Busse and Wille's Resubdivision, in the West half of Section 12, Township L~l Korth, Hange 11 East of the 'llhird pr inc ipal i,iter idian, Cook County, Illinois, also known as 117 South Maple Street. Section 2. That said real estate, as reclassified, shall be subject to all the limitations and conditions placed upon properties in the Districts designated and as defined in the Zoning Ordinances of the Village of Mount Prospect. Section 3. S!hat any person, firm or corporation who violates, disobeys, omits, neglects or refuses to comply with or who resists the enforcement of any of the provisions of this or- dinance shall be fined not more than One hundred (()loa) Dollars for each offense, and each day that a violation is permitted to exist shall constitute a separate offense.
