Vrl~~~HEAS, pursuant to Chapter 24, paragraph 696(a) of
the Illinois Revised statutes, a village is empowered to levy an
annual street and bridge tax of not more than .06 percent of the
full fair cash value of taxable property in said village, as
equalized or assessed by the :Gepartment of Hevenue subject to
other provisions of the Illinois law, and
vytiEREAS, a village Bay, by three-fourths vote of the
members elected to the Board of ':erustees~ levy an additional tax
for street and bridge purposes at the rate of not to exceed
.OL!_166 percent of the full fair cash value of taxable property
witllin said village, as equalized or assessed by the Department
of Hevenue, and
VfrIEREAS, additional funds are required for street and
bridge purposes in order to properly maintain same,

Board of '.:'rustees of the Village of Llount Prospect, Cook county,
Illinois:
Section 1. That an additional tax of .04166 percent of
the full fair cash value, as equalized or assessed by the Depart-
ment of Revenue, of all taxable property within the Village of
:Tount Prospect, Cook county, Illinois, be levied for the fiscal
year ~ay 1, 1961 and ending April 30, 19b2, for street and bridge
purposes; said tax to be in addition to a tax levy at the rate of
.06 percent of the full fair cash value of the property in said
village.
Section 2. That sai~ street and bridge tax be in addi-
tion to taxes levied for general corporate purposes.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage, and approval, according to
law.
Section L~. 'l'hat the Village Clerk shall file a certi-
fied copy of this ordinance with the County Clerk of Cook COl1..Tlty,
Illinois, along with the tax levy ordinance of the Village of
}!Iount Prospect for the fiscal year con1l:nencing I'i~ay 1, 1961 and
ending April 3U, 1962.
