HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 800 10/06/1961 ORDINANCE NO 0 roo AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT ZONING ORDINANCE RELATING TO PROPER'ry LOCATED AT SOUTHEAST CORNER OF CENTRAL ROAD AND ELMHURST ROAD, BEING Ai"PROXIMATELY 157.06 FEET ON CENTRAL ROAD TO A DEPTH OF 100 FEET WHEREAS, the Board of Appeals of the Village of Mount Prospect, sitting as a Zoning commission at a public meeting duly called and held according to law (Appeal No. 61-30 ), considered the question of reclassifying the real estate herein- after described from B-3, Business District, to P-1, Parking District; l"i~TD, 't'lHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, having considered the recommendation of said Zoning Board of Appeals, find and believe that the highest and best use of said real estate is that of P-1, Parking District. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois: section 1. That an ordinance entitled "An ordinance classifying, regulating and restricting the location of trades and industries and the location of buildings designed for speci- fied uses; regulating and limiting the height and bulk of build- ings hereafter erected or altered, regulating and limiting the intensity of the use of lot areas and regulating and determining the area of yards, courts and other open spaces within and sur- rounding such buildings; establishing the boundaries of districts for the said purposes; and prescribing penalties for the violation of its provisions," passed and approved December 4, 1923, and amendments thereto, and known as ordinance No. 52, as amended by an ordinance known and cited as the Zoning ordinance of Mount Prospect, passed and approved May 2, 1944, and as subsequently amended to date hereof, be amended by reclassifying the following described real estate from B-3, Business District, to P-l, Park- ing District: (The legal description of said real estate is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference as if here fully set out.) Section 2. That said real estate as reclassified be subject to all the limitations and conditions placed upon erties in the P-1, Parking District as defined in the ordinances aforementioned. shall prop- , I Section 3. That any person, firm or corporation who violates, disobeys, omits, neglects or refuses to comply with or who resists the enforcement of any of the provisions of this or- dinance shall be fined not more than One Hundred ($100) Dollars for each offense, and each day that a violation is permitted to exist shall constitute a separate offense. Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication, according to law. PASSED this 10 day of (fJ c.~ .
