'~.'hat Section 20.201 of the 1'.~unicipal Code of 1101.U1t Prospect be and is hereby amended to react as follows: "Section 20.201 License--Fee. Every person who ovms or keeps a dog within the Village shall report to the Village Clerk annually within thirty days after the 1st day of January in each year if the dog was owned or kept for any period of time during the previous year, or within one week from the date that such dog first becomes owned or kept, whichever date shall be the latter, and shall give his or her naMe and address, and shall at the same time_give the name, breed, color and sex of each and every dog owned or kept by such person within the Village and shall pay to the Village Clerl~ a sum of Three (: 3.00) Dollars for each and every dog so owned or so kept and shall cause such dog or dogs to be registered for license in the office of the Village Clerk. t~on the payment to the Clerl,: of the fee herein provided to tbe Clerk, he shall furnish to the person paying such fee a license tar; and nunoer cf registry 1'01' each dog for which s1;.ch fee has been paid. tf'l'he Village Clerk shall pJ'ovicie eacl:: and every year such nurflber of metal badges as na;y' be necessary, or such size and shape as he shall deem expedient, having stamped thereon the words tfDog License" and the nur1ber indicE,tinc; the year for which tte ta:{ is paid and i t sl.~all be the duty of the Village Clerk to deliver one of such metal bad~es to the person paying the tax upon any such dog at the time of paynent. "Lvery person keepinr:i 01' maintaining any dog so licensed shall keep and maintain a collar around the neck of the dog with the metal bad€;e, as herein.oefore described, securely fastenea. thereto, and every dog found in the Village without such bad~e will be de~~ed a~ unlicense~ dog, and shall be so disposed of by the Chief of police and other police officers of the Villase as hereinafter provi(ed. ";jefore a license ta,'l: is issued, a cel'tificate of inocu- lation ai.:;ainst rabies for each dog, issu,ed 'oJ' the County rabies inspecto~ or by his Deputy, or by a licensed veterinarian, shall be submitted to the Villa~e Clerk for examination. ~o license shall be issu8a for any Jog unless such inoculation certificate bears a date within one year prior to the date of application for license.
