ORDINANCE NO. t~ ~
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN LAND SITUATED ON THE
WEST SIDE OF RAND ROAD AND NORTH OF BOB-Q-LINK ROAD
TO THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT J;'ROSJ:lECT
WHEREAS, a written petition has been filed with the
Village Clerk of ~he Village of Mount Prospect by Henry Blume and
Christina Blume, beias the 80le owners of record of the hereinaf-
ter described land and 'territory (except the North 130.66 feet of
Elmhurst Street, as recorded, in Prospect Meadows, a Subdivision
of part of the West half of the Southwest quarter of Section 27,
Township 42 North, Range 11 East of the Third Principal Meridian,
Cook county, Illinois, recorded December 9, 1949 as Document No.
~69292l), for annexation to the Village of Mount Prospect, and
WHEREAS, said North 130.66 feet of Elmhurst Street, as
recorded, in Prospect Meadows, a Subdivision of part of the West
half of the Southwest quarter of Section 27, Township 42 North,
Range 11 East of the Third principal Meridian, Cook County,
IllinoiS, recorded December 9, 1949 as Document No. ~69292l, is
a aedicated public street under the jurisdiction of the County
and/or Township Highway Department of the County of Cook and
Township of Wheeling, which street is eligible for annexation by
virtue of Section 1-1-10 of Chapter 24 of the Illinois Revised
Statutes, the same being included in the legal description here-
inafter set forth, and
WHEREAS, said lani and territory is not within the cor-
porate limits of any municipality but is contiguous to the Village
of Mount Prospect, is inhabited only 87 said petitioners, and said
Henry Blume and Christina Blume, the petitioners, are the only
electors residing thereon, and
WHEREAS, said petition is under oath and in all respects
complies with the requirements of the statutes in such cases made
and provided, and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Vil-
lage of Mount Prospect have examined said petition, have consid-
ered the question of annexation of the territory described therein
and believe it to be to the best interests of the municipality
that such territory be in tact annexed thereto;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and
Board of Trustees ot the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County,
Il1.1nols:
which makes an angle of 900 01 with the last described
line for a distance of 33.0 feet, thence Northeasterly
along a line which makes an angle of 2160 3S' measured
from West to Northeast for a distance of 316.80 feet to
an intersection with the center line of Rand Road,
thence Northwesterly along the center line of Rand
Road, being a ourved liDe convex to the Southwest and
hav~ a radius of 15,626.lG feet for a distance of
27~.69 feet to the point of tangency of the curve,
thenee Northwesterly alons the said center line of Rand
Road for a distance of 14S.73 feet to an intersection
with the said West line of the East half of the South-
west quarter, thence South along the last described line
for a distance of 7~.94 feet to an intersection with
the Westerly right of way line of Rand Road, thence
West along a line which makes an angle of 90b 00' 30"
with the last described line, measured from South to
West for a distance of 147.58 feet, thence South along
a line and parallel to the said West line of the East
half of the Southwest ~uarter for a distance of 295.16
feet, thence East along a line and parallel to the North
line of the Southwest quarter of the Southwest quarter
of said Section 27 for a distance of 147.58 feet to an
intersection with the said West line of the East half
of the Southwest quarter, thence South along the last
described line for a distance of 132.0 feet to the plaoe
of beginning, Cook county, Illinois;
together with
Lot 9 in Blook 3, together with the North 130.66 teet
of Elmhurst street, as recorded, in Prospect Meadows,
a SubdiTision of part of the West halt of the Southwest
quarter of Section 27, Township 42 North, Range 11 East
of the Third Principal Meridian, Cook countl, Illimois,
recorded December 9, 1949 as Document No. l4692921;
which territory is contiguous to tae Village of Mount Prospect,
is not embraced therein, is iribabited only by said petitioners
and centains only the aforesaid electors (being said petitioners)
residing thereon, and is unincorporated, be and the same is hereby
annexed to the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois,
so that hereafter said territory shall be included within the
boundary lines and limits of said Village, as is by law in such
eases made and provided.
Section 2. That the Village Clerk or the Village of
Mount Prospect is hereby directed to record a certified copy of
this ordinance together with an accurate map of said annexed ter-
ritory with the Recorder of Deeds of Cook County, Illinois.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage and approval, aocording to
law.
