HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 854 08/21/1962 . 5/8/20/62 ORDINANCE NO. -.l:-A/ 'f AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ~ARAGRAPH (F) OF SECTION 9.301, SUBPARAGRAPH 2 OF PARAGRApH (C) OF SECTION 9.303, AND ~ARAGRAPH (E) OF SECTION 9.303, AND PARAGRApH (K) OF SECTION 9.304 OR THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF MOu~T pROSPECT NOW, THEREFOf~, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois: Section 1. That the following language contained in paragraph (F) of Section 9.301 of the Municipal Code of Mount Prospect be and is hereby deleted and repealed: "To meet the expense of such inspection the permittee thereof shall pay to the Village the sum of one-half of the then required permit fee for said sign. No inspec- tion fee as required by this paragraph shall be charged during the calendar year in which the sign or other ad- vertising structure is erected." Section 2. That subparagraph 2 of paragraph (C) of Section 9.303 be and is hereby amended to read as follows: "2. Standard signs advertising a shopping center as a whole provided said sign does not exceed 40 feet in height and maintains a clearance of 10 feet from the ground to the bottom of the sign. "(a) Are placed not closer than 300 feet apart. "(b) Observe a setback of 5 feet from any por- tion of any street or road and be placed not closer than 10 feet from any property line. "(c) Does not exceed 350 square feet in area." Section 3. That paragraph (E) of Section 9.303 shall be amended by adding thereto the following: "Standard signs which advertise a shopping center as a whole in accordance with subparagraph 2 of paragraph (C) hereof. The term "shopping center" as used herein is defined in Section 17 of the Mount Prospect Zoning Ordinance." Section 4. That paragraph (K) of Section 9.304 shall be amended to read as follows: "(K) No sign shall exceed 26 feet in height or 6 feet above the height of any building on the same lot, ex- cept standard signs advertising a shopping center as a whole4 in which event said standard sign sh~ll not ex- ceed 0 feet." Section 5.
