AN ORDINANCE VACATI~G A .PORTION OF A PUBLIC
STREEr KNOWN AS LANCASTER A VENU'E
~~EREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Mount Prospect, after due investigation and consider-
ation, have determined that the nature and extent of the public
use and the public interest to be served is such as to warrant
the vacation of a certain portion of Lancaster Avenue hereinaf-
ter described in the Village of Mount .prospect, and
WHEREAS, all abutting and adjoining property owners
have petitioned for the vacation of said portion of Lancaster
Avenue,
NOW, THEREFURE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and
Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County,
Illinois:
Section 1. That that portion of Lancaster Avenue
hereinafter described shall be and the same is hereby vacated
and closed inasmuch as said Avenue at the places indicated is no
longer required for the public use, and the public interest would
be best served by said vacation:
That part of a public street (known as Lancaster Avenue) bounded
on the East by the West line of Lot 5, on the West by the East
line of Lot 6, on the North b~ a straight line drawn from the
Northeast corner of said Lot b to the Northwest corner of said
Lot 5, and on the South ~y a straight line drawn from the South-
east corner of said Lot 6 to the Southwest corner of said Lot 5,
all in Northwest Hills Country Club, being a Subdivision of parts
of the Southwest quarter of Section 11, Township 41 North, Range
11 East of the Third principal Meridian, according to plat thereof
recorded September 2, 1926 as Document No. 9390768 in Book of
Plats 197 on page 47, Cook County, Illinois.
Section 2. That the Village Clerk be and is hereby
directed to file for record in the office of the Recorder of Deeds
of Cook County, Illinois, a certified copy of this ordinance with
an accompanying plat of vacation.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage and approval, according to
law.
