HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 877 11/06/1962 5/11/6/62 ORDINANCE NO. 117 AN ORDINANCE ANiENDING ~eHE BUILDING CODE OF 'THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROS.PBCT B"Y INCREASING 'rHE MEMBERSHIP OF THE BUILDING COMMITTEE AND THE ARCHITECTURAL COMMISSION FROM THREE .PERSONS TO FOUR rERSONS WrlEREAS, the work load of the Building Committee and the Architectural Commission has continued to increase due to new construction and alteration on existing construction in the Vil- lage of Mount Prospect, and VmEREAS, it is felt to the best interest of the Village that the Building Committee and the Architectural Commission be increased from three members to four members so as to better ef- fectuate the work assigned said Committee and Commission and to better safeguard compliance with the Building Code of the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois: Section 1. That Section 1 of Chapter II of the Building Code of the Village of Mount Prospect is hereby amended to read as follows: "1. There is hereby created and reestablished an exe- cutive department of the municipal government of the Village of Mount Prospect which shall be known as the Department of Build- ings, which shall consist of a Superintendent of Buildings and such assistants as he may require, and a Building Committee con- sisting of four members. They shall be appointed by the President with the advice and consent of the Board of Trustees, and shall receive such salaries as may be fixed from time to time by the President and Board of Trustees." Section 2. That Section 1.1 of Chapter II of the Build- ing Code of the Village of Mount Prospect is hereby amended to read as follows: "1.1 ~Phere is hereby created an Architece;tural Commis- sion which sha~l consist of four persons who shall be appointed by the President with the advice and consent of the Board of Trustees. The members shall be the same as those appointed to the Building Committee and shall serve for one year and until their successors are appointed. The members of such Commission shall receive such compensation as may from time to time be de- termined by the President and Board of Trustees." Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval according to law. Attest: PASSED this ~___ day of November, 19b2.
