Y7Y AN ORDINANCE REPEALING SECTION 23.302 (CHARGES---CONNECTION RENTAL MAINTENANCE) OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF MOUNT PROSPECT AND AMENDING THE SAME CODE BY ADDING THERETO SECTION 23.302 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois: SECTION 1. That Section 23.302 of the Municipal Code of the Village of Mount Prospect, as hereafter set forth, be and is tereby repealed: "SECTION 23.302 CHARGES--CONNECTION RENTAL. MAINTENANCE. The charge for connecting a 5/8" water meter, including a flat rentaland charge for ordinary maintenance and repair during the life thereof, shall be $50.00. "The charge for connecting a disc meter larger than 5/8" and not larger than 2", including a flat rental and charge for ordinary maintenance and repair for the life thereof, shall be established by the Village Superintendent of Water. "The charge for connecting a 2" or larger turbine, compound or line meter, including a flat rental shall be established by the Village Superintendent of Water, and the cost and expense of necessary maintenance and repairs made by the Village during the life of said meter shall be charged to the consumer when incurred. (Amended by Ordinance No. 595 passed and approved 1-14-58 and published in the Municipal Code 1-23-58)" Section 2. That ARTICLE III. (METERS: RATES) of the Municipal Code of the Village of Mount Prospect be amended by adding thereto: "SECTION 23.302 CHARGES -- CONNECTION RENTAL. MAINTENANCE. The charge for connecting a 5/8" to and including a 2" disc water meter including a flat rental and charge for ordinary maintenance and repair for the life thereof shall be the cost of the meter plus 85% figured to the closest dollar. "The charge for connecting a 2" or larger turbine, compound or line meter, including a flat rental shall be the cost of the meter plus 30% figured to the closest dollar and the cost and expense of necessary maintenance and repairs made by the Village during the life of the said meter shall be charged to the con- sumer when incurred." Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication, according to law. PASSED THIS 4- day of JI t- ".q /. l. it < 1962.
