NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board
of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County,
Illinois:
Section 1. That the follotving parts of Section 18.201
of the Nunicipal Code of the Villa~e of 'Hount Prospect be and
is hereby repealed:
"All North bound traffic on \'Jaoel18. Avenue shall stop
before entering in, upon or pcross Central Road:
"All traffic on Pine Street shall stop before entering
in, UDon or across Central Road:
"All traffic on l-lc1.ple Avenue shall stop before entering
in, upon or across Central Road:
"Section 18.201 (c) In addition to the throug;h streets
heretofore established in this Article, the following
street is hereby declared to constitute a through street:
All traffic shall stop before entering in, upon or
across that part of Central Road from, and including;,
,Arthur Avenue on the 'l;ves t to, and including, Hount
Prospect Road on the east except that all traffic on
Central Road 2nd Northuest Highway shall stop before
entering in, across or upon the intersection of said
streets and excent for the intersection of Hain Street
and CentrFl Road 'VJhereat the traffic shall be controlled
by mechanical ston and Q"o lir;hts vV'hile the same are in
operation.
The nrovisions and requirements set forth in the last
nara<':l'ranh of 'S"ection In .201 shall aooly hereto."
Section~. That Section lS.?0l of the M~nicipal Code of
the Villp(!e oY"'Hount Prospect be amended by addino- thereto the
follmving:
"(n) All traffic shall stop befo:ce entering in, upon or
across that part of Central Road from, and including,
Audrey Lane on the lvest to, and including, Houn't P-.cospect
Road on the east e.'Ccept as to 'traffic emanating from
Northivest lIighway and Hain Stree.t into and upon Central
~,l~oac.~. "
"(m) All traffic on Central Road and Northwest HighvJ~l
and Central Road and Hain Street shall stop before
entering into, across or upon the intersections of said
streets unless the traffic shal~ be controlled by a
mechanical stop and go light in ".;hich case the saIne shall
control.
Section 3. 'That this ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, approval and publication,
