HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 882 12/04/1962 5/lZ/4/62 ORDINANCE NO. fit- AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN PROPERTY TO THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT WHEREAS, a written petition has been filed with the Vil- lage Clerk of the Village of Mount Prospect by Orville Dixon and Dorothy Dixon, being the sole owners of record of the hereinafter described land and territory for annexation to the Village O.~f~~:~t~~ Prospect, and 9-~rfeUJ.,t/}1j~tJ WHEREAS, there are no electors residing on said land, and WHEREAS, said land and territory is not within the cor- porate limits of any municipality, but is contiguous to the Village of Mount Prospect, and WHEREAS, said petition is under oath and in all respects complies with the requirements of the statute in such case made and provided, and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Vil- lage of Mount Prospect have examined said petition and believe it to be to the best interest of said Village that said territory be annexed thereto, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois: Section 1. That the land and territory described in the above mentioned petition, towit: That part of the Northeast quarter of the Northwest quarter of Section 22, Township 41 North, Range 11 East of the Third Principal Meridian, bounded and described as follows: Beginning at the point of intersection of the Southwesterly right of way line of Algonquin Road with a line 395.14 feet East of and parallel with the West line of said Northeast quarter of the Northeast quarter; thence South on said parallel line 200 feet; thence Southeasterly 990.82 feet to the West line of the East 30 feet of said Northeast quarter, 260 feet, south of the Southwesterly right of way line of Algonquin Road, <as measured on the West line of said East 30 i"'.""'" feet); thence North 200 feet to the said Southwesterly right of way line; thence Northwesterly on the South- westerly right of way line of Algonquin Road 990.78 feet to the place of beginning, all in Cook County, Illinois, which territory is contiguous to the Village of Mount Prospect, is ~1 not within the limits of any municipality, contains no electors, ~~t and is not presently in any inoorporated municipality, be and the ~.~~ same is hereby annexed to the Village of Mount Prospect so that hereafter said territory shall be included within the boundary lines and limits of said Village, as is by law in such case made and provided. , Section 2. That the Village Clerk of the Village of Mount Prospect is hereby directed to record a certified copy of this ordinance together with an accurate plat of said territory with the Recorder of Deeds of Cook County, Illinois.
