AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A ZONING CO~IISSION
FOR THE PURl:'OSE OF ACCOMPLISHING OOMPREHENSIVE
TEXT AND MAP REVISIONS OF Tflli ZONING ORDINANCES
OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and
Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County,
Illinois:
Section 1. That there is hereby established a Zoning
Commission consisting of ~ members for the purpose of pre-
paring comprehensive text an map revisions to the Zoning Ordi-
nances of the Village of Mount Prospect; that said Zoning Com-
mission shall be appointed by the President with the advise and
consent of the Board of Trustees and shall serve until comprehen-
sive text and map revisions are ~at which tfme said Com-
mission shall cease to exist.
Section 2. That the zoning Commission shall conduct
public hearings in accordance with the law upon a proposed com-
prehensive text and map amendment to the Zoning Code and shall
report to the President and Board of Trustees their findings;
said hearings to be had and conducted in full accordance with
the statutes made and provided.
Section 3. That said Zoning Commission shall have all
powers, responsibilities and duties as are detailed by the sta-
tutes of the state of Illinois in regard to the subject matter
of their inquiry.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication
according to law.
