OLD BUSINESS A. 2nd reading of AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 18 (TRAFFIC) OF THE MOUNT PROSPECT VILLAGE CODE This ordinance implements components of the Village's new "Residential Intersection Traffic Control" program and the "Residential Speed Limit" program for Zones 11, 16 and 18. (Exhibit A) XI. NEW BUSINESS A. PZ-09-08, 1920 Carboy Road, The Athletic Barn 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT (VOCATIONAL SCHOOL) This ordinance grants a Conditional Use Permit for a Planned Unit Development to operate a sports training facility in the areas of baseball and basketball. The Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended approval by a vote of 5-0. (Exhibit B) B. PZ-38-07, 309-313 West Prospect Avenue, Swanson Rowhome Project (Exhibit C) 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT AND VARIATIONS FOR A PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT, 3 UNIT ROWHOME DEVELOPMENT This ordinance grants a Conditional Use Permit to allow dwelling units on the ground floor, and variations for front yard building setback, rear yard building setback and building height for a three (3) rowhome development. The Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended approval by a vote of 4-0. C. PZ-37-07, 6-34 W. Busse Avenue and 12-20 W. Northwest Highway, Heimbaugh Capital Redevelopment Corporation 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A CONDITIONAL USE AND VARIATIONS (Exhibit D) FOR A PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT/MIXED USE COMMERCIAL AND RESIDENTIAL This ordinance grants a Conditional Use Permit and variations for a Planned Unit Development and a building height variation for Phase 1 of the Mount Prospect Town Center commonly referred to as the "the small triangle", sub-area #1. The Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended approval by a vote of 3-1. D. * A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT (Exhibit E) BETWEEN THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT AND THE OFFICE OF THE STATE FIRE MARSHAL (OSFM) This resolution authorizes the Village to enter into a contract with the OSFM, which permits the Village of Mount (local authority) to operate an Elevator Safety Program in conformity with Section 140 of the Elevator Safety Act. E. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 18 (TRAFFIC) OF (Exhibit F) THE MOUNT PROSPECT VILLAGE CODE This ordinance amends Section 18.1322, entitled "Pay Parking Zones," by deleting Sub-section C(1 )(b) in its entirety and replacing it with a new Sub- section C(1)(b). AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ACQUISITION OF TIF PROPERTY THROUGH CONDEMNATION OR OTHERWISE IN THE TAX INCREMENT REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREA (108 SOUTH MAIN STREET) This ordinance will provide seller with more favorable tax treatment in this transaction. XII. VILLAGE MANAGER'S REPORT A. Request Village Board approval to accept proposal to replace Village-wide telecommunications system in an amount not to exceed $351,846. B. *Request Village Board approval to accept for 2008 sidewalk replacement program in an amount not to exceed $140,000.
