fore owned and operated a waterworks system but not a sewer-
age system, and

operate a combined water and sewer system in an area known
as Hatlen Heights, Hatlen Heights ~states and liolonial
Heights, which area has been annexed to the village of
Mount Prospect, and
WHEHEAS, the Village of fiilount frospect has hereto-
fore entered into an agreement to purchase the properties of
the Cook County ~Jater Corporation consisting of a 'i~aterworks
and sewerage system, and
~mbREAS, the Village of I'.I.ount r'rospect does deem it
necessary that its waterworks system be combined with the
waterworks and sewerage system of the liook uounty ~vater
liorporation so that it can best serve its residents.

and Hoard of Trustees of the Vil12ge of Mount Prospect, liook
County, Illinois:
~ection 1. that the Village of Mount frospect
combine its existing waterworks system with the waterworks
and sewerage system to be acquired from the Cook liounty Water
uorporation and that henceforth it operate a combined water-
works and sewerage system.
Section 2. That the 1-'resident and elected and
appointed officials are hereby authorized to take any and
all steps necessary to instrument the combination of the
existing waterworks system with the waterworks and sewerage
system to be acquired from the liook County vwater liorporation
and to operate a combined waterworks and sewerage system in
the Village of I\lOunt Prospect.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full
force and effect from and after its passage and approval
according to law.
