ORDINANCE NO. 4527
AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL USE FOR PROPERTY
COMMONLY KNOWN AS 630 WEST RAND ROAD
WHEREAS, Shell Oil company (hereinafter referred to as Petitioner)
has filed a petition for a Special Use with respect to property
located at 630 West Rand Road (hereinafter referred to as the
Subject Property); and
WHEREAS, the Subject Property is legally described as follows:
Lot 7 in Block 1 in Arlington Meadows, being a subdivision
of that part of the West 1/2 of the Southwest 1/4 lying
Northeasterly of the center line of Rand Road in Section
27, Township 42 North, Range 11, East of the Third
Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois;
and
WHEREAS, Petitioner seeks a Special Use to permit an automotive
service station to allow the operation of an existing service
station in a B-3 (Business Retail and Service) District; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on the request for Special Use,
designated as ZBA Case No. 6-SU-93, before the Zoning Board of
Appeals of the Village of Mount Prospect on the 28th day of
January, 1993, pursuant to proper legal notice having been
published in the Mount Prospect Herald on the 12th day of January,
1993; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has submitted its findings and
recommendations to the President and Board of Trustees in support
of the request being the subject of ZBA 6-SU-93; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the village of
Mount Prospect have given consideration to the request herein and
have determined that the same meets the standards of the Village
and that the granting of the proposed Special Use would be in the
best interest of the public.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: The recitals set forth hereinabove are incorporated
as findings of fact by the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Mount Prospect.
SECTION TWO: The President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Mount Prospect do hereby grant a Special Use to the subject
property to permit the operation of a automotive service station in
B-3 (Business Retail and Service) District.
SECTION THREE: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect

from and after its passage, approval and publication in pamphlet
form in the manner provided by law.
