ORDINANCE NO. 926 AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN PROPERTIES IRREGULAR IN SHAPE AND HAVING AS ITS SOUTHERN-MOST BOUNDARY RAND ROAD, LYING GENERALLY BETWEEN GOLF LANE ON THE SOUTHEAST, EUCLID AVENUE ON THE NORTH AND LYING WESTERLY OF MEADOW LANE, COOK COUNTY WHEREAS, a majority of the property owners of record, owners of record of more than fifty per cent of the land in the territory described, and a majority of the electors of said territory hereinafter described and commonly known as having as its southernmost boundary Rand Road and lying generally between Golf Lane on the southeast, Euclid Avenue on the north and lying westerly of Meadow Lane, have sought to annex said area, hereinafter more fully described, to the Village of Mount Prospect, and WHEREAS, said property owners and residents, to accomplish said purpose, have filed a petition to annex with the County Court of Cook County, Case No. 63-CO-J372, in accordance with the Statutes of the State of Illinois made and provided, and WHEREAS, Judge Thaddeus V. Adesko, Judge of the County Court of Cook County, did on July 18, 1963 enter an order, a certified copy of which is marked Exhibit 1, attached hereto and made a part of this ordin- ance by reference as if fully set forth, which order did find that the petition to annex the hereinafter described property was signed by a majority of the property owners of record, owners of record of more than fifty per cent of the land in the territory described, and a majority of the electors of the territory herein described and that said petition did comply in all respects with the laws of the State of Illinois, that the territory described in said petition and referred to below was in fact contiguous to the Village of Mount Prospect and did duly certify the area to be annexed, and I; WHEREAS, a copy of said order was duly transmitted to the Village 11,11 Clerk of the Village of Mount Prospect in accordance with the statutes made and provided; she having received same, and il !I Ii il II II II II !I II il II ,I I! II I WHEREAS, it is deemed to the best interest of the Village of Mount Prospect that the property hereinafter described and commonly known as being irregular in shape and having as its southernmost boundary Rand Road and lying generally between Golf Lane on the southeast, Euclid Avenue on the north and lying westerly of Meadow Lane, Cook County, Illinois be annexed to the Village of Mount Prospect. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois: Section 1. That land and territory described in the above- mentioned petition and the above mentioned order, to wit: Lot six (6) in Block one (1) in Arlington Meadows, being a subdivision of that part of the west half (1/2) of the southwest quarter (1/4) lying northeasterly of the center line of Rand Road in Section 27, Township 42 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois; 1 Lot nine (9) in Block one (1) in Arlington Meadows being a subdivision of that part of the west half (1/2) of the southwest quarter (1/4) lying north- easterly of the center line of Rand Road in Section 27, Township 42 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County; Lots ten (10), eleven (11) and twelve (12) in Block one (1) in Arlington Meadows, b3ing a subdivision of that part of the west half (1/2) of the southwest quarter (1/4) lying northeasterly of the center line of Rand Road in Section 27, Township 42 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County; Lot thirteen (13) in Block one (1) in Arlington Meadows, being a subdivision of that part of the west half (1/2) of the southwest quarter (1/4) lying northeasterly of the center line of Rand Road in Section 27, Township 42 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County; Lot fourteen (14) in Block one (1) in Arlington Meadows being a subdivision of that part of the west half (1/2) of the southwest quarter (1/4) lying northeasterly of the center line of Rand Road in Section 27, Township 42 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County; Lot five (5) in Block one (1) in Arlington Meadows being a subdivision of that part of the west half (1/2) of the southwest quarter (1/4) lying northeasterly of the center line of Rand Road in Section 27, Township 42 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County; Lot Fifteen (15) in Block one (1) in Arlington Meadows being a subdivision of that part of the west half (1/2) of the southwest quarter (1/4) lying northeasterly of the center line of Rand Road in Section 27, Township 42 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County; Public Park in Block one (1) in Arlington Meadows being a subdivision of that part of the west half (1/2) of the southwest quarter (1/4) lying northeasterly of the center line of Rand Road in Section 27, Township 42 North Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County; Public Park in Block four (4) of Wedgewood Terrace being a subdivision of part of the east half (1/2) of the southwest quarter (1/4) of Section 27, Township 42 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County; Lot thirteen (13) of Block four (4) of Wedgewood Terrace being a subdivision of part of the east half (1/2) of the southwest quarter (1/4) of Section 27, Township 42 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County; Lots fourteen (14) and fifteen (15) of Block four (4) of Wedgweood Terrace being a subdivision of part of the east half (1/2) of the southwest quarter (1/4) of Section 27, Township 42 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County; - 2 - Lot sixteen (16) of Block four (4) of Wedgewood Terrace being a subdivision of part of the east half (1/2) of the southwest quarter (1/4) of Section 27, Township 42 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County; That part of Euclid Avenue, as dedicated in Arlington Meadows, aforesaid, bounded on the west by the west line of Lot 6 extended north and on the east by the east line of Lot 5 extended north, in Block 1 in Arlington Meadows aforesaid; That part of Rand Road as dedicated in Arlington Meadows aforesaid, and Wedgewood Terrace aforesaid, bounded on the southeast by the centerline of Golf Lane extended southwesterly, as laid out in said Wedgewood Terrace and bounded on the northwest by a line drawn at right angles to the centerline of Rand Road through the most westerly corner of Lot 9 in Block 1 in Arlington Meadows aforesaid; The northwesterly half (1/2) of that part of Golf Lane, as dedicated in Wedgewood Terrace, aforesaid, lying southwesterly of the northeasterly line of Lot 13 extended southeasterly, in Block 4 in Wedgewood Terrace aforesaid, all in Cook County, Illinois. which territory is contiguous to the Village of Mount Prospect, is not within the limits of any municipality, and which has sought annexation through petition to the County Court of Cook County, Case No. 63 CO 3372, and which petition has lead to the entry of an order by Judge Thaddeus V. Adesko on July 18, 1963, which order did duly find that the territory described in said petition and described above was in fact contiguous to the Village of Mount Pro$pect, and that said petition was signed by a majority of the property owners of record, owners of record of more than fifty per cent of land of the territory, and a majority of electors in the territory therein described, and that the proceedings and petition filed were in all respects in full compliance with the Statutes applicable thereto, particularly Illinois Revised Statutes, Chapter 24, Sections 7-1-2 through 7-1-5, and which order certified the area to be annexed as above set forth, is hereby annexed to the Village of Mount Prospect so that hereafter said territory shall be included within the boundary lines and limits of said Village of Mount Prospect, as is by law in such case made and provided. Section 2. That the Village Clerk of the Village of Mount Prospect is hereby directed to record a certified copy of this ordinance together with an accurate plat of survey of said territory, to be provided by the Village Engineer, with the Recorder of Deeds of Cook County, Illinois. Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and the expiration of thirty days from date hereof, in accordance with Section 7-1-5 of Chapter 24 of the Illinois Revised Statutes (Municipal Code 1961).
