ORDINANCE NO. 4529
AN ORDINANCE VACATING CERTAIN PROPERTIES (ALLEYS) OWNED
BY THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT PRESENTLY
WHEREAS, the corporate authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect did consider the
vacation of certain Village owned rights-of-way (alleys) generally located between School and
Owen Streets and Northwest Highway and Evergreen Avenue and the alley between Owen
and William Streets and Milburn Street and Evergreen Avenue, which alleys are no longer
useful or necessary to the Village; and
WHEREAS, a Public Hearing was held by the corporate authorities of the Village of Mount
Prospect on February 16, 1993 at which time the corporate authorities did determine that it
would be in the best interests of the Village to vacate the alleys being the subject of this
Ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That the corporate authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect did hold a
Public Hearing to consider vacating property legally described as follows:
All that part of 16 foot public alley as laid out in Block 20 in Mount Prospect, a
subdivision in the Northwest Quarter and part of the Northeast Quarter of Section 12,
Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County,
Illinois
Also
All that part of 16 foot public alley lying east of and adjoining Lots 1 to 12, both
inclusive, and lying west of and adjoining Lots 25 to 36, both inclusive, in Morningside
Gardens, a subdivision of part of the Northeast Quarter of Section 12, Township 41
~ North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois
as shown on the Plat of Vacation, a copy of which is attached hereto and hereby made a
part hereof as Exhibit "A".
SECTION TWO: That upon the passage and approval of this Ordinance by 2/3 of the
corporate authorities, the Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to file a certified
copy of this Ordinance, together with an accurate map of the vacated areas, a copy of which
is attached hereto, with the Cook County Recorder of Deeds.
SECTION THREE: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage, approval and publication in the manner provided by law.

NAYS: None
ABSENT: Corcoran
