ORDINANCE NO. 933
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 23.306 OF THE MUNICIPAL
CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COUNTY OF COOK,
ILLINOIS
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, County of Cook, Illinois:
SECTION 1 - That Section 23.306 is hereby amended to read as
follows:
"Section 23.306.
A. Definition of User, for purposes hereof, is defined
as any person or family unit occupying a single family residence, duplex,
townhouse, apartment, condominium or co-operative unit. The term shall
also include any firm, institution or corporation occupying any portion of
any commercial, industrial or combination use.
B. All Village users within the Village having a direct
or indirect connection with Village water mains shall pay the following rates
per quarter:

First 10,000 gallons - - .45 per M
Next 10,000 gallons .43 per M
Next 10,000 gallons .40 per M
Next 20,000 gallons - - - - - .38 per M
Next 50,000 gallons - .35 per M
Over 100,000 gallons - - .32 per M
Minimum charge $3.00 per quarter.
C. All Village users without the Village having a
direct or indirect connection with Village water mains shall pay the fol-
lowing rates per quarter for water:
First 10,000 gallons - - - 1.00 per M
Over 10,000 gallons .72 per M
Minimum charge $5.00 per quarter.
D. Where master meters are installed on combination
use buildings, water bills shall be computed by multiplying the applicable
rates above by the number of users, except in cases where the bulk use of
water for any property exceeds 15,000,000 gallons per year; in which
event special contract arrangements shall be made."
SECTION 2 - This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law.
